My Old toy (1998 GU TD4.2) and my New one GQ SWB TB4.2 Turbo with water to air PWR intercooler Dual batteries dual UHF's lots of mods to come when I stip the GU out.

Not to sound rude, but why did you go from a 4.2D LWB GU to a TB SWB GQ ?

Thats like a downgrade in every single aspect imo makes no sense ?

This! I would much prefer a newer turbo diesel, unless you changed specifically for a turbo petrol?

I owe money and wanted to be debt free I will buy myself another deisel one when I go back to work I have abroken foot and it looks like they are going to have to pin it so I wont be working for a while. I would have rathered a 4.2tdt ute in a GU but then i still howe money so this is my best option it is just as cheap on fuel as the GU but goes a hell of a lot better my GU isn't turbo atm I have one sitting here just ran out of funds t fit it as I need the water and oil lines and tap the block for the oil feed and return in the sump.

Fair enough, you will still have plenty of fun in the GQ especially with that snail strapped to the side.

I have to agree with this^^ if I drive through some muddy water it doesn't work at all, although it barely works normally dry.gif

mine works, just have to keep the drums clean of mud and dirt and keep them adjusted correctly. don't even leave it in gear most of the time.
