Pretty sure the master cylinder is not the same, same with the porportioning valve. Was looking to get a WB Deville diff, and i would need a proportioning valve and new master.. Cheers, looks like she's going sweet. ![]() I'm pretty sure they're the same. From looking at my drum and disc brake master cylinder there's no difference. And with the WB, It was probably different because they had the RTS???? |

Have checked this out before and they are a different part, have had a WB Deville disc brake all round master and a HQ disc front/drum rear master side by side and there are slight differences. Haven't had a drum all round master next to a disc front/drum rear master.. so i couldn't tell you exactly what is different, however they are two different parts. |

Thats because wb`s have different master cylinders to hq. Im using one from a hj (pretty sure) so theres no difference. I dobt know why your comparing hq with wb? |

YOU CHANGED IT, SO I AM REPLYING TO THAT SILLY RTS COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!? sorry mate, this is the fail post!! RTS had nothing to do with the braking systems. it was all to do with the positioning of components of the suspension system (therefore, RTS stands for Radial Tuned Suspension). you will find Joel that the brake system you bought off my friend had booster, master cylinder AND proportioning valve. you will def need to fit the prop valve you got off Trent cos different braking systems need different pressure distribution to operate correctly. so.... drums all round will have a distribution that is different to that of disc/drum based on the effectiveness of the individual systems pointless discussing disc/disc cos this isn't part of the equasion. later models (HZ's and Commo's) have different master cylinders because the proportioning valve is built into the master cylinder. this said, on earlier models it is completely possible that the master cylinders are very similar or even the same unit for this reason. long winded but it gets the point across. Ash. nope.... here it is!!!!! : QUOTE And with the WB, It was probably different because they had the RTS????

I thought that because of the suspension set up change, The booster would have been different to compensate for that change. Then I realised, Hence the edit. Fucking kids. Should stick to Hondas. Fuuuu Jay, Don't you have some rocks to be sifting through? ![]() |

The thing that annoys people is not that you don't know stuff, but that when people point out mistakes, you want to make out like you know better when clearly you don't. |

The thing that annoys people is not that you don't know stuff, but that when people point out mistakes, you want to make out like you know better when clearly you don't. There's nothing wrong with learning and taking advice, or even making mistakes. I've been around and worked on cars for probably almost as long as you've been alive and there's still plenty for ne to learn,. Not having a go at you or anything, just trying to help you out! Keep up the good work, but just be open to people who are trying to help you. Looking forward to cruising with you and your Q! Yeah fair enough but I don't see how in my previous posts I've made out that I know better but if it did come across like that then my mistake. I have no problem taking advice or even criticism, Seriously. I'm not trying to make out that I'm some big headed expert. Anyway, Keeping it OT: The new rotors and bearings, master cyl and some of the parts that were painted today. Should be on wheels tomorrow only thing I'm waiting for is my brake lines. ![]() sell it and buy a honda You and this honda shit! |

You realise that once those springs settle, and the weight of the front clip is back on the car, that it will sit lower? |

You realise that once those springs settle, and the weight of the front clip is back on the car, that it will sit lower? If you ordered the correct springs for what you are after, maybe give it time, get the car back together and then make a decision? Phill Yeah I'm aware of that. The thing is that the springs I put in where ones I had laying around here for a while and they were lower then the stock 6cyl springs so I thought I'll chuck them in and see what happens. Turns out they're v8 springs. |

Took the front and rear springs and shocks out today and it seems the springs I bought off here don't fit because they Coil in too much. So I'll be buying new ones of those and also some new shocks for the front again as one was accidently stabbed trying to get it out. |
