Got my racks and new Awning mounted yesterday morning. Only a few more grand to spend until I am done modding it.

.
OK so whats going on here, is im pulling all my aftermarket gear, as well as engine and gearbox and interior from the GQ i rolled down a hill, and putting it all in a GQ i bought that was standard but stripped to a rolling chassis after the owner pulled his small block chev and such out of it.
Getting there!
Has a 9500lb winch on a TJM bar, custom rear tube bar, drawer system, 4" lift (springs, 4" shocks, HD adjustable panhards and steering rod, HD trailing arms), extended brake lines and swaybar links, dual batteries, snorkel, and 33" BFG muddies. Basix stereo (4ch amp running 6" splits and 6x9's in the rear).
Will have brush bars and rock sliders before its back on road. All barwork has been freshly sandblasted and powdercoated black, as have the sunny wheels. Very neat! Hopefully keep this one on its wheels.

Cheers mate! But yes I'm actually expecting it to look tough as hell. Very dark... It's all blue and black. Oh I also have a set of 4 IPF roof lights too, and the bonnet will be satin black to stop the glare that I use to get from them.

Yeah, say goodbye to the monster sticker, definitely.

There's a few things you can do to the foz to make them a bit more capable off road. But depends what you want to use it for.

Everytime I see a foz dropped on its guts, I die a little inside.

Foz has fairly decent ground clearance from factory, so if its just for beach work, no real need to lift it. Some A/T tyres will make it more capable. There are no bullbars I know of that actually look remotely decent on a foz, so nudgebars are the only way to go really, to mount some spotties and a UHF. Have you got a towbar? if not i'd suggest looking at one so you can be recovered properly tongue.gif (with a hitch receiver, not off the towball).

Well I wanted something thats nice and zippy on the road(beaten a fair few of the skylines that come on our cruises in it, and smoke the commodores) and something that is capable of getting dirty haha and at the spit... its gets dirty hehe smile.gif wish I had footage of it, pretty funny seeing it race a skyline then go kick up some dust haha

Umm... not too many other ways of doing it, buddy.
If youve got a bent body on a mechanically perfect car with thousands of dollars of aftermarket gear, a mint interior, and a perfect engine and box, and a second one that has no engine gearbox or aftermarket parts and a rooted interior, what would you consider to be the easy way, mate?

forget about it, and move on with another car? that would be the easy way tongue.gif

Your way is alot of effort, but rewarding at the end.

Settle down cunt, I was actually giving you a compliment.

And FYI, I've been unemployed for the majority of the year, so dont give me this 'fuck I wish I was made of money like you two must be'. I'm scrapping the bottom of my money. Buddy.

Are you on crack? Go back and re-read there you pulled my quote from - its was a reply to calibrated, not to you.
I think it is YOU who needs to settle down, youre a bit quick to snap at someone mate. I dont think i really deserved that outburst from you there.
And get a job.
That said, youre both telling me im going about it wrong or doing it the hard way or whatever, when its obviously the smartest thing to do, and the easiest way. Youve got NO idea, mate.

Sorry dude, you took what twist and Cali said the wrong way. They were just giving you a bit of ribbing. I assume from twist said "you like doing things the hard way" as in, had you not rolled your first gq you wouldn't have had to change everything over to the new shell. But now that you have had to change everything over its more rewarding because you can say "i have built this truck myself".

Calibrated was just being sarcastic with "forget about it, and move on with another car? that would be the easy way tongue.gif " Hence the tongue.gif Again had you not gone and rolled your first gq, blah blah blah. What they mean by "doing it your way" is like saying, with a bit of tongue in cheek sarcasm "well i would have just not rolled my 4wd lol". You have taken this hole thing a bit to seriously man.

Anyways on another note, your new GQ is looking tops! Good effort.
