Just wondering if anyone knows if this will work.

the diff in my vr is slowly going to shit, and someone at work today suggested this. saying that the VL turbos have a very strong, LSD diff

if not, apart from the standard VR diff, anyone know of a decent replacement, more painless the better ? preferrably LSD

Yeah it would work. BUT the vl diff about an inch shorter on each side and would make it drive like shit.

u would be better off gettin a lsd diff from a vn to vs as they are all the same.

forgot to add. vl turbo is a 28 spline an the standard vr diff is also 28 spline.
so pretty much the same apart from th width.

and to old mate above. only the upper spec vr/vs came oout with irs.

from vt onwards they had irs standard.

just get a centre out of a commo ute, they should all be lsd. If your gears are ok keep them centre will cost between 50 and 400 dollars, run the correct oil these buggers are picky, its about 100 bucks. and problem solved.

ps. skylines, falcons and valiants, run the bw78 diff aswell but less likely to be lsd, also make sure its 28 spline.

Could also grab an LSD out of an AU wagon. Being leaf spring etc less chance it's thrashed.
