Hey brah's My brothers GF is on her learners license and has accumulated 0 hours on her log book In something typical of the new generation these days, she says she should be exempt from a logbook, because her mother has epilepsy and cannot be granted a license, and her father lives in some hoo flar dung rural ass community I told my brother shes having a laugh, as the parents not being able to coach her does not preclude her from getting experience with someone else/driving school. Hes says its been done before, but then again that cun+ says a lot of things Just wondering if anyone has heard of logbook hours being waived for exceptional circumstances, and the appeal will even be considered -------------------- "Drag is for fast cars, circuit is for fast drivers, but rally is for the exceptional" Colin McRae

over 25's don't need a log book QUOTE You are not required to complete a logbook confirming your 100 hours of supervised on-road driving if:
•your application for an exemption to the logbook requirements has been approved •you are 25 years of age or older •you are under 25 years of age, and hold a foreign provisional or open type licence, and need a Queensland learner licence before taking a practical driving test. |

Over 25's dont need a log book anyone under that age needs to have one and also MUST do the 100hrs. If her parents cannot teach her go through a driving school it isn't that hard. Oh and no offence to you mate but am sick of hearing people get exemptions for this kind of crap it is not one rule for them and one rule for everyone else |

what this guy said ^ I think your best option is probably get a family friend to do up some hours with her, get some experience drivign fromt he driving schools for 1 hour theirs = 3 hours. When you feel confident with her driving forge some hours. I know people that have forged 90 hours, 70 hours etc. All passed first go, been driving for years without crashes etc. 100 hours in my opinion is set for people whom have never sat behind a wheel before. If she'shad some experience she should be fine.. this is just what it think however. 1st learn to type and use the correct words "there" 2nd forging hours is fucking stupid the rules are set in place for a reason! |

As I said you can get an exemption from doing the 100 hours yet you must hold your leaners for two years. I know several people who have done so, some for reasonabily stupid excuses such as "my parents work full time so they have no time to teach me". At the end of the day, the individual in question will still have to pass the practical driving test like everyone else. |

Yes, you can get an exemption from doing the 100 hours. However, you have to hold your learners for two years and you must still pass the practical driving test. This, I was granted an exemption due to the fact my mother doesn't have a license and my father only has his L's (Has open bike license and never needed his car license for some stupid reason). My only open license driver was my cousin and he worked 7 nights a week and didn't have the time. I applied stating the above reason and that i was finding it extremely hard to find someone to employ with me without a license etc. and few other legitimate reasons. I paid the fee and was it was granted the next week. Did my practical test and started a new job the day after. I had held my Learners permit for 2 years before i applied also. |
