8. Their driving lights, fog lights are yellow. Only 180sx drivers have fog lights on during the day and on a clear night.

Surely its illegal to use foglights unless its foggy conditions? Well, its used to be like that.

PROXENETA
Post #8893

Pretty sure it is. Hence turning them off when there is no fog.

Yeah whats with non Commodore Ute drivers stereotyping.

1. The fog lights only light the ground, are not bright and do not affect oncoming traffic whatsoever.
2. It's foggy as fucking hell in Launceston ALL DAY
3. My Ute isn't a commodore
5. I like to break down everything in numbers
6. Fog lights are awesome
7. Fuck you

hahah yeah i forgot their "driving lights" you have them lit to warn people that the car is running and therefore at risk of spinning out into a traffic barrier at any moment!

I have to say though didn't realise your from inceston, so you are justified for having the extra lights cos inbreeding makes your eyes weaker plus god sent the fog so normal humans can drive through without having to see the place. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I turn them on to warn people I make love to my family. Fog is irrelevant.

It's all coming out now.

Ha, it's not stereotyping obviously tongue.gif .

1. they shine forwards in oncoming traffics eyes
2. duh!
3. Tell yourself what you like tongue.gif
4. i'm just jealous because i don't have 'fog' lights anymore
5. time to learn to count? , i suppose that's not necessary if you drive a commonwhore
6. yes they are
7. no thanks

I'm telling you what I like.

Who wouldn't be jealous of fog lights. They make you feel and look like a boss when rollin' in your commodore with the sub woofers cranking with the chev badges rattling off and the unit stickers getting air bubbles from the hektic bass.

how do repco stay in business???

call for price on part, specifiy brand and quote part number, part is $125 +freight charge
call bursons part is $83
call supercheap part is $62

how can repco justify over double the price on the same brand same part?? now obviously if you wanted any advice at supercheap they would not be able to tell you anything you cant read on the packet yourself, and you have to pay for the item before they order it in. but even bursons which the guys are ALWAYS friendly is $50 cheaper. service at repco stores is hit and miss, sometimes ive got people who have went out of there way to help and other times ive not been able to get the time of day out of them.

perhaps repco mainly want there business to supply the little garages who have accounts etc more then actual retail. i wonder if staff discount would even get the price down to what its available at other stores! no wonder people nick name them 'ripco' lol

Depends where you go at supercheap and who you talk to as well mate, Ben at Glenorchy knows his stuff about imports. Andrew, Clayton (I think it is) and Nathan at Cambridge know their stuff too, Andrew used to be in the mechanised infantry, Nathan knows imports and Clayton seems to know a lot of stuff about everything - told me he has owned over fifty cars, all different makes and models and his dad is an engineer signatory. I think he raced a 635csi at one point with his dad too...

I don't know about Bursons, every time I go there I get treated like shit, so I refuse to go back.

Repco stands for Rip Every Poor Carnt Off, or so I am told oopsie.gif

Thing is though they often have the part on shelf which is a total save when you need it asap. I needed a water pump for a GA16DE and everywhere else I had to wait a week but they just had it sitting on the shelf.

Meh, really it's all the same, you get dickheads and knowledgeable people everywhere.

FYI Repco are more expensive than genuine for toyota parts too

but uif you want Toyota genuine bits you should be contacting me anyway

and yes Repco staff discounts are epic best thing about the place,
But without a doubt Bursons are the best Retailers in Tas out of the three

I fucking hate people who reverse out of carparks with out looking ARGHHH !!!!!!!

Cerby
Post #8921

speaking of reversing out of carparks, in the last two days I have seen four late model bmws driving along, they see someone reversing out of a spot and accelerate at the car and flash behind them while their still moving (usually only missing out on being hit cos they are on the wrong side of the road!) WTF is with that? Surely once a car is more than half way out of a spot you would stop and wait, not speed up to 60 in a 40 zone, drive blind onto the wrong side of the road and over a speed bump? Especially in an expensive car. Its always some middle aged twat in a bmw though.
