Thursday and Friday night would be the two nights that he would actually make some profit , he won't close ...

I don't see a problem with the skids, but the rowdy, drunken behaviour and from young kids at that, is probably the most concerning thing.
I think that's the main reason why I don't take my son.

At the end of the day , if they wanted to do something about the behaviour, they would have done it already, and from what I can see, NOTHING has been done.....

Ultimately, skids are illegal so it shouldn't happen at this sort of meet. Also, I don't know what can be done about the behaviour short of the police shutting it down unless ol mate Harry's Diner hired a security guard or something which he would pay through the arse for anyway so it kinda defeats the purpose.. It's a shame that the tards can't leave their tardiness at home (or elsewhere) for one evening a week.

I totally agree ........... Skids are illegal, and shouldn't be at any meet, (hence why I don't take jaiden anymore)

Pretty sure that if its a busy night, he's gonna be inside making sure orders are served and his business is running like clockwork... he DOESNT have time to go outside and babysit a pack of drooling simple(unt retards who think creating tyre smoke is some type of skillful artform.

From what i can interpret - what you two (and probably more) are trying to say is, that since it's illegal, it shouldn't happen.

Would that same concept be taken regarding being too low, having too loud an exhaust, having an illegal modification such as <35% window tint, etc etc...all the way to cars not passing emissions, or the fact that the QPS class a car meet as "hooning" (and hooning is illegal behaviour).

No valid point to your statements, as they are clearly biased as to which "illegal" behaviour is deemed appropriate/accepted.

Are you really trying to compare a cars emissions to doing a skid on a public road? ;)

Surely you must see one is a bit more dangerous than the other, right?

Personally I love skids and I don't mind admitting it, but given that it will probably ruin another meeting spot (again) it should be left for other times / places.

ahh , see I am tired and when I am tired I don't explain myself correctly .. ;)
I don't mean HE should take control and babysit the douche bags, but perhaps as others have suggested maybe get a security guard in, or even contacting the police?

I don't know I am only making a statement, and putting in my two cents .. at the end of the day ... unfortunately it isn't a perfect world and well you can never rid yourselves of douche bags , whether they directly affect you or not. There is always someone out there to ruin your day, you meet or your event, and no matter how hard you try to stop it, it won't happen .. if that makes sense .. THATS what I was trying to say ... :(

Why would you ask a rhetorical question... ofcourse im comparing emissions, skids, and everything else deemed "illegal".

Yes, if one were to take into account potential risk factors, one type of illegal behaviour would be seen as more dangerous. But on the same token, i could quite easily turn that back onto you (assuming your trying to say skidding up the road is more dangerous as compared to emissions).

But along with your bandwagon buddies, you're also clearly stating - that it's ok to choose which laws can be broken dependant on how dangerous you think they are.

It's not a one way street.

Wasn't rhetorical at all, I was actually curious to find out if you were serious.

Personally, I don't give two shits about emissions / water in washer bottles / not having numbers on gearsticks or whatever other stupid defects they come up with. I do care about some douche who has no skill trying to skid his car up a street and hitting my car / me. So yes, I'm quite happy with choosing what laws I want to bend and I really don't mind if you think lesser of me for that.

If you want to follow every law to the word, then good for you - you're obviously a better person than me.

I believe their point is that it's more an illegal activity which can draw the attention of police and annoy other people around. The other things you listed don't do that. So they aren't important in this situation regarding the ruin of a meeting point.

Unfortunately, you're assumption of me is wrong.
The way i see it, it's only illegal if you get caught. That goes for most laws. The point is, i'll keep to the same approach. Oh and I don't think lesser of you for bending laws, as that'd make me a hypocrit.

My point is there is a time and place. If you want to go out and do skids go to fucking pinkenba for christ sake. A meet like Harry's is way too built up and we've all seen the outcome quite a few times down there when people can't control their shit and plow into the crowd.

Also, comparing exhaust/tint and whatever else to skids is a stupid as well

I don't go to harry's so I don't care personally. If the people who complain about skids on here want a resolution, why don't you just call the cops and say 'people are skidding on this road and endangering people'. I'm sure one wave of people getting pulled over for doing skids would stop other people in the future. Leaving the meet in the private carpark to continue as you want.

Naturally the people doing skids would want to have your head though haha

Totally understand and agree. However, the point I'm putting across is, that making the reference to it being illegal is the reason it shouldn't happen doesn't have any justification behind it. Now if you were to say - skids shouldn't happen at a car meet, because it is potentially too dangerous, that would be a valid point.
The comparison I made between different illegal behaviour is silly in a sense, but that was the whole concept behind why stating skids shouldn't happen because it's illegal was

Ok, more to my point - The only reason I referenced the fact of skids being illegal is because it draws the attention of police who in turn come along and shut the meet down. I enjoy going to Harry's on the odd occasion. Much like I used to enjoy going to Aspley Macca's and that meet doesn't exist anymore because of this sort of behaviour.

and just for the record - I love going and watching skids
