New cars are tested for days to get the lowest times, so to actually get the times quoted is a miracle. |

Edit; vy's don't do 13's from the factory.... They only have test cars for a very short space of time and are stuck with whatever weather conditions they get, with unlimited access to the cars and perfect conditions they would go quicker than the quoted times. I've seen heapss of stock VY's run 13's. |

Slightly off topic, my old VX R8 (M6, 3 years old and roughly 50k on the clock at the time) ran 13.71 absolutely dead stock (7 degrees). The best the magazine test drivers could get it was 13.8-13.9 but that was in 20+ degrees. Given that the (non HSV) VY 8's are 235-245kw depending on model/series it seems entirely plausible to me that a 13.9 would be possible under ideal conditions and with an experienced driver. Never timed the 0-100k run but the figures indicated somewhere around 5.6 seconds. |

I know nothing about VE SV6's (besides driving a hire car for a few days recently and I was pleasantly surprised, and this was after jumping out of an E60 M5). Of course they won't take your breath away, that's not what they are designed for but with 210kw I'd be astounded if a good driver couldn't pilot one from 0-100k in less than 7 seconds. In a perfect world your figures are great xxxx. I have also seen the odd stock SS run good numbers, however, the bad definately takes over from the better ones. This may be caused mainly by driver error, bad tyres and track heat/condition. |

The old freak motor trick. Even my 07 WRX was so much quicker than my brother inlaws. Both 07 models, his was a nugget, mine hauled arse. We put it down to a Friday arvo car and they were too worried about beer o'clock. (as we all are on a Friday arvo) - Moral to the story, it happens alot. |
