It has been done plenty of times, I think you just need to get it roadworthied as a n/a and all the paperwork from then should say it's na |

Seriously, it's not exactly the easiest task, but it can be done, most of the time it shouldn't, an NA variant of the motor with loom, ecu, etc, should just be sourced instead and swapped over... |

Not being able to speak for the Ca18 shit box, but the SR20det is really not that bad driven in NA form. |

It's an experience hey? I would have referred to it as torture. I should have added "unfortunate" in front of the experience part... or as you stated it... torture EDIT: I still have the torture of a CA18DET in my S13... but it is there to be thrashed, till it dies, then it's being binned faster then a $5 hooker on a Monday night and being replaced with an SR20DET |

TwinCam, I don't believe you are supporting the OP, the turbo to N/A is a horrible idea. |

TwinCam, I don't believe you are supporting the OP, the turbo to N/A is a horrible idea. It is still registered as a turbo car, so it would be an illegal car regardless. Or am I mistaken? Not sure how your state works, but in QLD there is nothing on registration the indicates the induction of a vehicle. I'm not supporting it at all mind you, i'm just pointing out to the bandwagon jumpers that actually don't have a clue ![]() |
