Someone please explain the logic in why it is "illegal" to have your rear window tinted (@5%film), but you're more than welcome to fit a closed cell canopy to the back of your work ute, or also allowed to replace your rear windows to sheet metal/fibreglass on your van. |

like i said i thought 10% was the darkest you could go obviously that was not right it appear 35% is the correct figure however this only applies to the front windows.the rear passenger windows can be tinted as dark as you feel like and many cars come out factory with a darker tint on the rear than on the front. examples to my point and these might not be the best to use. would be limo's both stretch and normal luxury(ie bently's etc) ambulances(this is more for the privacy of the patient than anything else). if it didn't look so unco i would go darkest legal on the front windows and darker on the back but it just looks odd omg i got something right! your still wrong the law is ALL WINDOWS must be 35% no less and no tint on the front unless it fits with in the guidelines stated |

We have small reflective items located on the side of our vehicles, they are called mirrors... A truckie could probably reverse 10x better than most people on here, and they dont need to see out the rear window. Well stated. I thought exactly the same thing when I read the initial post regarding rear window tint. Seems to me its another ridiculous law / rule that is targeted to specific cars and specific drivers e.g HOONS and cannot be policed with any compassion or justification. How can you give dispensation to paddy wagons, delivery van, trucks with closed bodies, buses, camper vans, limo's and any one towing a caravan or a closed trailer. Yep they stuffed up yet again and i'd love to know who evaluates such crap before it is made policy. |

last friday some impatient wanker in a vz commo ran in the back of my car then, did it again and proceeded to push me in front of oncoming traffic. He called the police and told them i stopped in the middle of the road, which was a give way section! so i go down to the police station to file a report, all was fine untill he asked what type of car it is, i tell him it's a r32 and the pig decides have my car searched for defects. then was told i could have my car impounded for hooning because it's the type of car that attracts the wrong attention....lol Discriminating will never gain them any respect. so the next day i went to see my friend who is a lawyer and all of a sudden they changed their tune and charged the guy for following too closely. but what about willful destruction?? assult with a motor vehicle. i stuffed my shoulder and split my lip on the steering wheel. The police are a Joke You have insurance? If so,then pursue the person for the physical damage to your car. If you were injured, see a doctor and take photographs of any visible injuries NOW. Go back to that police station and state you wish to lodge a complaint against the other driver (for the physical injuries you claim you've sustained) and if that station's officers will not take you seriously then perhaps go to another station nearby or visit your local state MP,the police do not get to brush the MP or his staffers off when calling on the behalf of a constituent (voter). If you've seen your lawyer then some of these points should've already been covered (??) |
