Hey Guys,

Chasing a Mobile Roady for the 180 on the Gold Coast... Has anyone had any good experiences with anyone that you would recommend? Not chasing a "relaxed" or "dodgy" roady but would rather go through someone good to deal with at a reasonable price. New to QLD and haven't had to do one personally before.

Cheers.

There is a place called Gold Coast Mobile Roadworthy Centre that I know of, never used them though.

In QLD roadworthies are price capped so it will be much the same price wherever you go.

Safety certificates are not price capped. There is a nominated fee for them, however that does not mean the inspector will just charge that. Mobile guys are generally around the $120 mark as opposed to most shops being $65 (which I think is the scheduled rate).

Sorry your wrong, RWCs are price capped at 62.50 IIRC, however Mobile inspectors can charge call out fees, hence the variance in price.

Workshops can charge for workshop consumables, but your not allowed to add this to the price of the RWC itself, it must be listed seperately

if you get charge any more or less for the RWC itself, contact DOT as its an offence

just another heads up for people chasing a Mobile Roadworthy...
Roadworthies to you, in acacia ridge...
Mobile roadies and they very good to deal with...

Inspec all aspects of the car and let things slide IF and only IF they are just starting to shows signs of wear and/or the person buying the car knows about the things that need to be fixed up and agrees to it!
