Not true Mark/Jen, I bought a R33 skyline which had a bunch of after market bits (wheel, seats, tint, rims, brakes, suspension, exhaust, headers) and I didn't have to change any of that.

Unless I'm the exception then a blue slip = a more thorough pink slip.

I passed with all of the above, just had to fix a leak or two and was sweet. The car is still in Tamworth at the moment.

I just took a Porsche 911 over the pits and as long as everything works then you wont have a problem..Will cost a huge $58.50 for a blue slip, you don`t need pink slip then get greenslip($400-$600) then hand to RTA withold rego papers, plates, proof of purchase(making sure chasis and engine number are on your reciept). Cost you bout $1000 all up

Yeah mate single cam rb20 pulling 1660kgs lol.

Oh with a blue slip you need to go over a weigh bridge also.

I got my blue slip done in Armidale Nikk, I think its got white or pink shit everywhere in the inside now.

Had volks on it when i had it, dont think it still has them though

beware for anyone buying an import car from interstate
check the compliance plates
if its a qld mod plate instead of australia wide mod plate (was available under 15 year import scheme)
then you will need a engineers report in nsw to register the car
also make sure u get rego papers and import papers
also qld mod plates are dodgy and you might need to spend money to get
the car to aus standards
and also qld transport are bunch of flops to deal with
if any problems do arise and you need their assistance

Fit as many standard parts you can get your hands on or simply pay for the engineers report so you dont need too..

Best thing find a decent mechanic who might not be too concerned about mods..

Just make sure you have cash ready for any costs.. thumbsup.gif

Where in NSW are you ? I do know Mechanics and that do Blue Slip. Like I said before I just had to take a 2006 911 over the pits with a blue slip, it does have some mods but nothing major that they knocked back.

You will loose your QLD plates. Its the law unless you wanna get them redone in NSW plates(if available) you cant register in NSW with QLD plates. I dont know what mods you have on your car that you may need to change.

hey. i moved back to nsw a few months ago and you can keep your existing number plates as you own them. you cant fit them to ya car though but you do get to keep them. you will get nsw number plates fitted.

if i was doing it again, i would just keep it registered in qld and pay for a mail redirection each time it comes up for your rego time. cheaper to register in qld and nsw police defects have no power on a qld car.

Thats not true cops are cops no matter where you are. If you get pulled over and then 2 weeks or so later they pick u up again, cops dont forget you or your car if it stands out. I did live in Qld for 2 years and kept my car registered in NSW but then again I drove a stock Commodore with fuck all mods and I never once got pulled over but then again I dont drive with P Plates on my car or like a dickhead so I didnt draw attention to myself so I was never phased by it.

If your planning on staying here then i`d do it. Rego in Qld in the end isnt cheaper then Syd but if you dont want to be bugged by the cops and fined big time for it then I would do it.
