It's good to see that these Thursday nights are now starting to roll along on a weekly basis. When Digital Emu & I first approached the current owner back in sept 08 about these nights, He was a little apprehensive based on the reputation that Harrys had, However he was keen to try & bring it back to it's glory days of the 90's.

As some of you already know, Harrys was NEVER a place for imports etc, These Thursday nights changed all that and Harrys has welcomed cars from all types of styles. It is unfortunate that there seems to be an element that seem hell bent on f***ing it up for everyone.

Due to work committments I haven't been involved in these nights for the last 18 months. Since that time between Digital Emu & now BlownBMW taking up the slack these nights are going great, However as I have said above there seems to be that dickhead element creeping back in.

What I have just read in previous posts disappoints me that these dickheads cannot just simply enjoy the establishment for what it is, A safe place to hangout and enjoy each others company & mutual interest. For those of you that cannot control yourself, I urge you in the strongest sense to reconsider your actions when you next visit Harrys, You just never know WHO may be watching.

Most of you guys on here know the story with Harry's.
A couple of us worked really hard over 2 years to put it on the map as a "SAFE" cruise destination on a thursday night.

By SAFE, I mean that you can go there and not have to watch dickheads skidding it up as they left...
By SAFE, I mean that you could go there and NOT have to worry about cops raping you and your car.
By SAFE, I mean that you could feel comfortable taking your kid/kids down there of a Thursday night without fear of some leadfoot-cocksucker losing it and ploughing into them.


Well all that's being threatened at the moment by a bunch of pole smoking limp-dicks who just can't help themselves.
I got a call from James at Harry's at 10 past 9 tonight, asking me to "Please come back and take control" because the fuckwit level had just gone through the roof, and every fouth or fifth car was leaving there fishtailing it.

So I have a message for every person that wants to be a fuckin lead-foot at Harry's on a Thurdsay.

Simple. You are NOT welcome any more. The lot of you... Fuck off and don't let me see or hear of you down there again.
I don't care if you wanna have a bitch about "Nazis" etc,
If I'm down at Harry's and some c**t skids it up, I don't give a royal rats ass who they are, I'm going to take their fucking plate myself and hand it to Russel or some other cop, and I've told James to do the same.
We didn't work our fuckin asses of for that location, just to have it shut down by The Cops because some people don't fucking get it.




Anyone who doesn't understand why I'm so fuckin upset at this, here's the short of it
A couple of years back, Harry's Diner re-opened for business.
I approached James, the new owner and gave him the proposition of us setting up regular Thursday Night Cruises there in an effort to restore Harry's to its former glory... without the moron-element.
He agreed, on the proviso that everyone was well behaved.
We had a couple of small hurdles, but with the help of a few key people, it turned into what it is now... a big night, EVERY Thursday.. Where EVERY SINGLE CAR was well behaved, and even cops came down to say HI without even CONSIDERING looking into defecting or anything like that.

Now, I'm not a fuckin innocent, not by a long shot.
I'm not a hypocrite, cos I'm as guilty of being part of the "Moron-Element" as well... So I'm not saying Don't Ever Do it...

I am saying Do Not Do It At Harry's.
There is a TIME and a PLACE for everything.
That's my shit down there, and you threaten it, I'll walk all over you to make an example.

Okay, so here's the upshot.

I just got off the phone to James...
Tomorrow, I'm heading down there to discuss the installation of this baby.

No. It is NOT a dummy.
It's a professional CCTV camera with a 50 meter IR throw.
I used to install these things a couple of years ago, and had this one sitting in the garage.
I've seen one of these pick out a number plate at over 100 meters away, so if we put it on the corner of the diner, it'll pick up cars leaving without any problem at all.

I'm gonna be honest... I would prefer it if he never had to use it, and I'm going to urge him to put signs up letting people know NOT to skid or they'll be caught... and to have the image showing inside the diner itself.
And I'll make sure I post up photos of this thing on the forums so I can honestly say "YOU WERE WARNED"
But I'm going to set it up myself, so in the event that it needs to be used, I will be certain that the image coming off it is clear enough for the cops.

The credit for this idea goes to Marky Mark from CruisingBrisbane... he hit me up about it on Facebook last night...
But there are a lot of other people who have also suggested it.

I'm glad that's over. Anyway, back on topic, I probably won't be at the next harrys due to moving from brisbane, but I will definately try and get to one sometime in the near future.

dabigone, are you going to try and give harry's a go, and see how good it actually can be? There are a lot of good people that go, and the food is awesome.
