As title states.
I can press the hazard switch, and they all flash fine, but clicking the indicator stalk to left or right doesnt turn the indicators on. I have tried a new indicator stalk, as they are fairly easy to swap over (5min).
Any suggestions?
Yes, the car is on. Yes, the fuses are fine.
Cheers!

I had the exact problem the other day found it to be the hazard switch. when i jiggled it around a bit the indicators came good.

checked the bulbs? youre joking, right? Thanks for trying tho.
.
Cheers toomanytoys - Ill check the hazard light switch. They come on as hazards, tho. all 6 bulbs flash at once, but i cant operate the LHS or RHS individually with the indicator stalk.

yeah i have seen it happen before! wrong bulb was causing different lighting situations to happen

gl with it

Yeah but using the indicator stalk, there is nothing. Flasher unit doesnt even click, so nothing is even making it to the bulbs. All the lights work with the hazard switch tho, so leads me to believe all the bulbs are sweet.

yeh mate mine had the exact same symptoms, i couldnt work out why it happened as i never use the hazards. unfortunatly the switch is plastic so you cant use contact cleaner but some wd or crc wouldnt hurt, i think you ll find thats the issue.

change the hazzard switch this can be the cause sometimes. change the relays. change the combination switch not just the stalk.

my bet is on the combination switch. the bit that sit around the sterring column

In taking a look at the wiring diagram it appears that the hazard switch when in the off position supplies power to the flasher relay, if the switch is faultly then there would be no power to the relay thus no indicators but the hazards would still work. Do a voltage test at pin 6 of the switch - that's the input from the battery pos, then test pin 3 with the switch off, you should have 12v at both pins if I am reading the diagram correctly. If not maybe try another switch or let me know and I'll check the diagram for pinouts at the indicator switch. Cheers.

Hazard switch + 1...The above poster is 100% correct (can't confirm pin outs however), car manufacturers have been using this set-up forever.

Have a similar issue. But the fuses blow when turning on the hazard lights (accessories mode) and when using the indicators (engine running) they blow. I've replaced the stalk with the box attached, but still happening. Any ideas?

Cheers
