RC Events - Organise RC meets here  

drifting will no longer be run on friday nights by thunderalley due to the lack of support so there goes the chance to drift on a track instead of around a few bits of wood at WOW.

on road racing will be running on the alternate nights to OCR after next friday night to try and get some of the dirt guys to come and play with us.
there is going to be 5 new faces racing with us from now on as a guy that has moved up from perth and heard about the club will be racing tc's and minis with his family.

if interest in on road racing doesn't pick up soon there's a good chance that it's shutting down and everyone misses out which means no chance of the 1/10th scale drags getting off the ground either.


classes being run from next week are:
4wd stock motor (27 turn silver can and stick pack batteries)
4wd mod (anything goes)
mini's (front wheel drive, silver can 540)
and now also offering a 2wd rear drive class for the F1's and pan cars.


if anyone has a car and wants to give it a go just charge up your batteries, bring your car along with a few dollars and go for a thrash. I have a couple sets of slicks i can lend out for the night.

dean - gonna have to give next friday a miss due to sorting out the issue the on road club is having but might take you up on the offer for the following race night OCR have.
can you have a chat to the offroad guys next week and see if any of them are interested in racing with us on their off weeks. racing is still only $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

cracker night is thursday. stock up on smoke bombs. 1/10 of 3 minutes is 18 seconds. that's about how long a smoke bomb lasts. go nuts for 18 seconds.

But the thing is nealy half the field is there anyway racing there buggies and the eletric trucks give them a differant option and extra time on the track and fun and thats what its all about.
There is also exracers who used to race nitro buggies and wanted a cheeper and easyer option and have now come back to join this class and are bringing there youngsters with then to race also now.

gotta find one of those snap lock containers with the rubber seal in the lid for the esc and rx.

making up some alloy side chassis plates for it too. the plastic ones flex too much when you load up the suspension. still need to find a huge truck body for it....

and traxxas waterproof servo cases with gaskets for $14 ea.
