ah stuff it ill just go to my mates place after the cruise and get it done or maybe the day after, i doubtthe belt rubbing on the bottom of the timing cover would be something terminal unless i drove it over like 15,000K's

just gone to start up my car the noise of my timing belt is actually gotten a shitload louder and is fucking up my idle something hardcore, i might not make it down there til maybe near 8ish depending on if a mate and myself can diagnose and fix the actual problem.

Just a word of advice. be very careful with the timing belt. you don't want to move it even one tooth, let alone have it snap. If it does, get ready to go buy another engine

yeah i know how fragile it can be fuck i wish ca's had timing chains.

im not 100% positive on where its rubbing bit its not up the top. around the timing gears.

im assuming it HAS to be on the bottom somewhere, its only started since last night when my friend and i popped the front of the timing cover off to replace my front main crank seal, only to find the bottom pulley that sits in front of the front main crank seal, and behind the harmonic balancer, wouldnt come out.


so we put all the shit back on the motor, timing cover, + belts etc only to find when my car started it idled fine for about 10 seconds then the rubbing noise began :|
