Hey guy Bought my first jet ski about 4 months ago and now planning on making a trip over to moreton island with car and ski, my question does anything have to be closed up before taking on the stand for example intake underneath etc. From what i can see because the wheels are only small i can see the axle dragging through the sand over there, meaning sand gettin up and underneath the ski, just seeing if anyone has experience with anything like this give me any tips. cheers |

i know this probably isn't an option but maybe some beefier wheels to try and reduce sink and mabe a tarp or similar to avoid getting large amounts of sand in the jet assembly It's not like huge amounts of sand are going to get forced into the intake grate.. You will suck up shit loads more just using the thing anyway.. |

just lower the pressure of the trailer tyres, it would suck up more sand when your riding close to the beach than towing it. |

Doesnt really matter what tide i go on because its the middle track from one side of the island to the other where we stay is the problem, the ruts are pretty deep and there is some soft sand that im worried about constly getting pushed up there when dragging the trailer threw, and because the ruts are deeper obviously the trailer doesnt have much clearance and is going to drag, so when it is dragging through, the sand is going to be pushed up and through any open holes? |

you will be right, we used to take our 5m centre console over there that weighed 700kg, just with the tires, put them down a little, but make sure your 4wds tires are sufficent depending how chewed up middle road is, Hopefully for your sake they have graded it. just get some plastic and duct tape it to the bottom of your ski to stop foriegn objects getting in, Id be more worried about tree roots smashing your hull then a bit of sand |
