Fuck WITH or WIT??

just cause he is on P's and drives a turbo doesnt mean its certain he will die. some P platers are better drivers than alot of people on the road. yes a fair share are stupid aswell.

btw I'm on my opens and currently own my 3rd V8 and have owned a turbo rb25 an turbo 2jz so i aint talking without knowing.

Contravening high-powered vehicle restriction - 3 points / $300
Failing to fit P plates - 2 points / $160
Failing to produce certificate of exemption for driving high-powered vehicle - 1 point / $160

Plus you'll probably also cop:
Failing to comply with condition stated on driver licence - 1 point / $100
Driving a motor vehicle that is defective but not unsafe - 1 point / $100 (because they'll most likely find something to defect you for just for the hell of it)

Just remember that every person that contravenes the 'high powered' vehicle restrictions is helping to ensure that the restrictions remain permanently and are depriving future P platers of the chance to drive anything more powerful than a ride on mower.

For the sake of everyone who is, or may be affected by this legislation in the future, please don't be selfish. The only way the restrictions will ever be lifted is if it can be conclusively demonstrated that the vehicle restrictions are not effective and while people are constantly flouting the law, this just gives the state government the ammunition it needs to ensure that the retrictions are never lifted.

So how is that? When I was just normally driving in a turbo vehicle? I wasn't doing anything wrong just driving home. If anything it's demonstrating high powered vehicle restrictions are useless and in the right drivers hands make no difference to safety and road death tolls. I just happened to help add to qld transports revenue raising

The reason is when significant numbers of people are ignoring the current laws, any statistical information compiled which would seemingly indicate that restrictions are unnecessary would be meaningless as many people who would ordinarily be restricted would not be compliant with the legislation, and as such any statistical analyses would have a significantly smaller sample size than they otherwise would have (therefore reducing the accuracy of any information), and the results would be flawed.

Whether you drive a turbo vehicle on you P's has very little, if any effect on me, but believe me when i tell you that the government will raise the issue of non compliance should the effectiveness of legislative restrictions be questioned in the future.
