Where in Byron are you thinking mate? is there anywhere with plenty of room, for quite a few cars (hopefully) to just rock up and park together? cause i was there on new years day and struggled for a park, but if you know somewhere specific, this could be good...Thanks for the help mate, good idea

If i get a little notice and rough numbers i can organise it outside my fiancees work, as they will do lunch and drinks for us too.
Heaps of room but as i said will need some notice so i can let them know and say to them like i got 20 or so cars coming we all want lunch say can you hold the carparks for us or something.

Cause previous Aussie day cruise's have had descent turnouts and this is getting a bit of attention in its short time its been up...... Yeah i havent chosen meeting spots or set a destination as of yet, but am still open to suggestions?
Im going to put in a bit of effort and contact some people, cause i want to make sure there will be plenty of parks where ever we go as quite a few people seem interested and it will be busy everywhere (being Australia day)..... I will post details as soon as they're set.

lol i got mine on my 16th and turned 17 on the 19th, took me from early february til then before i culd log my book, did my house in under 2months legitimately and i did it in my 32

hey just wondering guys but how long a cruise are we looking at here? because just thinking about it, byron is a far few kms and i know my car is lucky to reach 400-450km on a full take, will there be stops at one or two major servos?

Ok cool, Thanks mate, any help would be greatly appreciated.... yea i wasnt too sure about movie world either, just a suggestion as a few years back it worked well, cause the park doesnt open till 10 i think, and the meet was at 9, so plenty of room for heaps of cars at the back, and then easy access to the highway, but yea it could become difficult there. By the sounds of it, finding an area with enough space to fit a few cars is gonna be the biggest hassle at the moment.

Yea mate, i've thought about that too, I first want to find somewhere that could accomodate a number of cars, i was thinking about trying some local councils about letting us onto a field/oval/park etc. Then perhaps if a charity would want to hold a bbq or somthn and they keep all profits that could work. Anyone know a charity that would do this? I'll try working this stuff out this week.

Byron is less then 2 hours drive from Brisbane man (165km Bris to Byron, according to whereis), so most cars would be fine...and the last meet point before the main cruise down would probably be on the southside or goldcoast, so cars could refill before here and easily make it... But remember nothings been finalised yet, all being planned, but yes stops and meeting points will be accounted for.

ok cool, anyone going to have 2ways or uhfs on them? just to that if somone does, ive got a shit one and could come in handy if anyone gets lost like if someone hangs back with one and one or two through the pack just to make sure everyone is on the same plan as if others are coming could get a lil confusing and yer a park or oval wuld be good but who knows if there would be one free from cricket matchs or sum aussie sport lol
