Sorry guys, but Vicroads isnt giving me answers, and Police Vic isn't much help either.

Question is:

Can a red p plate driver, drive a car, which has had a engine transplant, (SOHC 1.8 to DOHC 1.8 (ca18de)).
Car in question is a N13 Pulsar.
Only performance mod is 4-1 extractors and sport exhuast. (getting stock peeshooter for it)
Engine bay looks factory. Nothing really out of the ordinary.

Question is, is this an offence.
Everything that I have read says its 100% legit (only thing wrong is exhuast, which will be changed)

Anyone with any Police contacts or Vicroads contacts, can this please be confirmed?
Last thing I want to do is buy a car, which i cant LEGALLY drive.
Or a $1100 fine + 3 points

Regards

Aaron

you should be fine. as lomg as the engine number matches the rego.. even if its not how the hell are cops going to know what engine is what. just dont worry and drive the thing.

what they dont know wont hurt them, if it looks like nothings happened to it mod wise they dont usually go in depth

got away with being pulled over on a regular basis driving a silvia s13 with a sr20det . plates were silvia and it was metalic purple . i am also on my p's .. the biggest question they had to try trick me with was "so where do you hide the blow off valve" .. so from my exp. you should be sweet.

hey man

Your allowed to have a Bov as long as its a plumbback type,Atmospheric type blow off vales are illegal.

Basically a plumb back is as the name suggests, release's noise and pressure internally.

Atmospheric blow off valves release both the noise and pressure externally.

With the pod and cooler question , Pods arent illegal.. Its illegal to have 2 intake mods.

Coolers are also legal aslong as you dont cut any structural parts when fittting them.

Hope that helps lol

FRCNAL any idea whats up with beastclub i cant get onto the website for the past week lol
