Losing my QLD P2 License.

QLD transport site doesnt really tell me.. not that i've found

Can i get my Provisional Motorcycle License now, and ride around legally? Even though I've lost my car license due to demerit points accumulation.

No, you cant hold either if you accumulate too many demerit points. Just like if you had both already and you lost all your points driving your car, you couldnt still ride a motorbike.

They're two different codes on one licence.

Your licence is suspended, not your ability to drive a car.

If a truckie lost his licence he cant drive his truck nor his car, same rule applies with bikes.

If im wrong, then ill wear a flat brim hat.

you can only lose 12 demerit point in the space of one year. this is a points total of all the licence's u hold, bike, car truck, boat. etcs
it takes three to earn them back when u lose them, unless u have it suspended then get it back .

i lost my licence b4 n i have a boat licence but was not allowed to operate the boat because was suspended from lost of license

if u lose your P plates on a supension, then u restart your red P's all over from day one when u finish the supension. and the new rules applies

no you dont, you continue on from the time you had built up before suspension - thats why its called suspending.. not canceling and start again.

but you cant drive any vehicle on the road when it is suspended. that includes bikes.

Sorry Shane, you can't fit in with the mini-uters just yet.

You must have a valid licence without suspensions or disqualifications before you can apply for an RE (Bike) Learner's licence. You must have also held the licence for at least 1 year and be at least 18 years of age.

No, you do not "start from the beginning" if your licence is suspended or disqualified.

No, it is not 12 demerit points in 1 year. For an Open licence, if you accumulate 12 or more points within a 3 year period your licence will be suspended. For a L, P, P1 or P2 licence, it is 4 or more points within a 1 year period.

Yes, if you ring the RTA you'll be talking to the wrong bunch of muppets answering questions about NSW, not QLD.

I got my licence when my learners licence was suspended.. something went wrong and it got put through.,. I was unaware of my suspension but yeah lucky me i was never pulled up.

READ THE LETTER THEY SENT YOU SAYING YOUR LICENCE IS SUSPENDED!!!

It clearly states you cant opperate a 'vehicle'.... ie.... bike, car, truck, boat.........

when you lose your licence you can not get a bike licence as i have tried that when i lost mine...
