hmmmm ok maybe a bad example shot... its not full colour... the sig itself is 50% transparent.. but will look 100% full colour on a dark background... heres another shot from sat night.. compare the two shots and the sigs and you'll see what i mean..



hmmmmb maybe needs to be 20% transparency... still playin around with it anyway.. but the font and style i'm gonna keep.. simple is best..

when i look at shots from justdave i notice the sig pretty much first rather than the pic.. altho maybe that might just be me.. i dunno..

but really a sig can be as intense or low profile as a person would want it to be.. just personal preference..

I don't like it to tell you the truth. You spend to much time worrying about sigs and shit but your photos don't tend to improve. Maybe focus on other things much rather then trying to sell yourself.

uhhh because maybe i'm a graphic designer and thats my main career goal atm??? just perhaps???

if i'm not happy with something, then i'll improve it til i'm happy with it... and i wasnt happy with reaper101 photography as my sig beforehand... so i'm improving it...

any person in the arts will do something to sell themselves... thats what its all about.. work on a talent youve got going for you and promote it with what you do best... i.e.. that is called selling yourself...

and hey like i said before... i dont have as much time as alot of ppl to try and do this as a profession... its mainly a hobby that i'm working towards... perfection and accuracy in photos takes time... surely you should know this..

Maybe you should stick with graphics design then if that's what you are worried about. I'm sorry, but perfection and accuracy does take time, but instead of making a watermark to try and promote yourself for something you're not even doing is pretty useless, unsure if it's just me but it just seems all your doing is trying to get people to know you to sell your photos, thus making me believe you seem to be in it for the money and nothing else.

Before you go trying to get people to know you, maybe you should try and improve with your pictures, much rather then trying to sell yourself at the same level you were a couple months ago.

yeh i get what your saying.. and hell some ppl need to pay bills sometimes... the cash that i earn from this goes back into paying for my gear... i dont get it handed to me by my parents like some ppl do...

and no i dont just do it for the money.. i make friends out of it.. and get to keep the pictures i work hard for to produce.... and share them with everyone else... also gives me the extra experience...

and ive actually gotten better than i was months ago... you have good days and you have bad... but i've learnt more about photography and different methods through the last couple of months..

Hmmm.. Lay off Harley, I think she does just fine.

At 50% I think the sig looks fine, where as before it was like BIG BOLD HEAVY and was really sticking out but in the last shot it looks a lot better.

Remember CC stands for CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, not just taking a bite or talking shit, lets practice a little less of the latter.

Bravo, a bit of positive never hurt anyone.

White balance is off i think in those shots..

Sig looks fine. Some of the best togs just use a bland font. anything fancy detracts from the pic.

Last set is quite a let down.


Alot them seem OOF, I know this may not be your fault but it's always great to check that your lense is focused prior to shooting. The framing itself needs work, everything is so tight and really leaves for a busy photo.


Watch your comp, it's lacking at the moment.

Wont comment on the last set of pics since they are just happy snaps but some good pics in there

But in regards to the r34 shoot, i would straighten some of those pic. Background isnt the best. Seems as if the cars are growing out of the walls (since the car is white and the background is white). White cars are always hard to shoot. Also the angles of these images are a tad boring. Perhaps try and angle the rim more. Get a tad lower to the ground and shoot.. But apart from this keep at it!!

i like to use my tripod all the time these days... just to make sure the shots are as crystal clear and in focus as they can be..

i was contemplating it tho.. however as this was at my mates work.. there was alot of thoroughfare.. had to take as many in little time >.<

In regards to the lens - oh it cant weigh that much? but my 70-200L is pretty light so im quite happy

One downside to you always using your tripod is that you're lazy and don't change angles/height which really starts to bore the viewer.
