thanks nick.. smile.gif

but there is a problem i have with the panorama.. theres the blue evo and red car to the right a bit and its a little too dark..

couldnt brighten it up much or it would've ruined the rest of it..

only realised after i stitched it and merged all the layers together..

note: put darker cars in the light more.. tongue.gif

and yeh.. was a littly bit sketchy on the left lights on the wrx.. but decided to leave it.. i'm trying not to photoshop much and get the right shot first go.. smile.gif

They aren't complaining, she posts here for criticism, so they're helping her out.

By the way, I think you should start charging for your work, don't want to be known as the 'Cheap photographer chick' haha

i do charge actually.. lol..

been chargin $50 for a shoot for the past month and a half now..

made $200 with the photoshoots down in sydney, sendin out cd's of the shoots and group pics of evo's, amir raceborn's opening, etc.. smile.gif

also got a business like proposition with a rally school that will be up at QR in march, took photos and sold a cd down in sydney for some customers down there.. and yeh the guy that runs it wants me out on the day at QR to give me a bit of a start at photography and get my name out there and known.. smile.gif

as well as drivin some pretty sweeeeeeeeeeet cars.. (Mustang, TVR Chiamera and Porsche 911 Carrera) biggrin.gif

will be doin a shoot with an ex show car this wednesday night as the guy wants to sell it.. will be advertising it for him after the shoot too..

so i'm getting there... dont claim to be a pro.. but i would deffinately call myself a freelance photographer..

i've been a busy little munchkin over the past 2 months..

awsome work u have come along way in only 7 months, with response to EFO this isnt picky u get to know picky when u post up photos of a actual photography page and what u believe is a good pic they will tell u ten minor things u wouldnt notice wrong with it.

good to see ur getting away from ur old ways of thinking ill take a ok pic and fix it on photoshop and taking the time and getting a good shot first up nothing is worse then doing a 2 hr photoshoot for $50 and then having to do 8hrs of editing because u didnt take that extra time to get the picture correct first up.

cant wait to see what u can do with some newer equipment and a sensor clean tongue.gif um look into a photo place i went to photo continental and agve me a voucher for a $50 sensor clean in the first yr of buying the camera was for cannon only but sure they have it for nikon too.

A bigger pic of the pano would be good, now I look a little closer the blue wrx and red evo are actually seeming to be out of focus, should've done the old hyperfocal method to get them all sharp.

Also are you shooting in RAW? because you could've just either blended two shots or did some masking to fix up the darkness, easy peasy elementary stuff! I actually think the blue evo and red (VR?) commo are the darkest and should definitely get given a brighten. Just do a levels layer and mask it!

Send me a PM if you don't know what I'm on about and I'll basic-skill you up! Masking is like your basic tool these days for non-destructive editing.

yeh but thats qr... see comparing qr to archy..

smaller track at arch.. so less time to pan to get that good shot.. tilting the camera allows u to get the full car in that small amount of time as clear as you can get it...

you have alot more time to plan and get a decent shot at qr...

those archy shots are bloody alright

well done miss

Reaper101
Post #153

cheers 70X..

was shooting at 1/50.. normall at 1/80, was pretty hard to get some good shots.. alot of them turned to shit..

but thats what learnings about.. smile.gif

reaper i wouldnt lock yourself into shoot one shutter speed. Different shots require different shutter speeds to get the desired effect.

But a pretty good arvo of shooting. I tend to agree with the others about the tilt. Tilt has its purpose. But i dont think it suits this purpose (just my opinion). I found myself tilting my head to look at the pics.

Reaper101
Post #157

fair point.

i'll do less on the tilt smile.gif

and yeh i try not to shoot at one shutter speed.. was just trying lower that arvo.

One thing I can suggest.

If you want to make yourself a reputable photographer, maybe try a more professional name? dunno.gif

Harley!! You're such an arsehole!!

Naaaah I'm with you, Reaper101 is obviously not going to work which is why i see the change but turbo photography wont work with portraits (which is where the money's at) so perhaps keep the ball rolling? What's your real name Reaper101 if you don't mind me asking?

You're coming young grasshopper!.. JustDaves, get another Dave involved?

Even though we all seems to think you have your priorities wrong, it's still a good looking watermark...

What he said.

I bought my 350D and was an instant professional photographer, ask anyone, they'd see me at the Spit shooting photos with a camera that came from a proper camera bag, not my pocket, or my phone, and they'd think, damn that guy is pro.

Moment I sold that camera, I lost my professional title. However, in doing so, passed on the professional title to the guy who bought the camera!

I dare say that name will cause you problems later in the future, like justdave said. If I were to start doing it professionally I sure as hell wouldn't use the one I go by now, but that's upto you wink.gif

Reaper101
Post #175

guys i was after a serious opinion...

i do enjoy what i do.. i just want a name atm that will stick so that i dont have to keep changing it all the time and ppl are like 'wahhh whos that?'

its not to go pro yet.. i still need to work on my shots yeh.. its just so i can have a good name for myself when i get there..
