Hey guys, i just came to QLD and got a r33 s2 gtst. Would like to know where i could get parts from, like bov's , coilover's, and other stuff.

Also, intending to keep the stock turbo, what upgrades would you guys recommend? And what can i do about the speed limiter on the r33.

Thanks for the help, as its the first skyline ive got so far. Had troubles going around looking for a bov and a suitable gadget to solve the speed limiter. Would a SAFC or RSM be good enough?

Thanks alot!!!

I would look at getting the exhaust done and a front mount intercooler and pod filter for starters. Perhaps an electronic boost controller so you can screw some more boost into it. But no more than about 14psi unless you want to shorten the life of your turbo, or unless you are lucky.

As for BOV's, they have to be plumbed back or you can get in trouble with the Police. Just get one installed when you do the intercooler mate.

standard bov is fine for 200kw and changing it any earlier then that is just wank factor....

change the standard air box to a pod filter and u will hear the bov anyway...

buy exhaust, pod and FMIC to start with bud

If you buy a kit you should be able to set it up yourself if not i think most performence shops in brizzy are capable of installing a kitand pods. Probebly go with k&n pod filter from repco cheap enough.

Also what area in brizzy are you in?

from experience with owning a r33 gtst myself, just get your turbo high flowed by someone like GCG, buy a fmic, z32 afm & air pod, powerfc or another aftermarket ecu like haltech pending on ur budget (no piggy back shit), boost controller, bosch internal fuel pump upgrade and you'll have a easy 300hp at the wheels.

If you add a RSM, you can cut the speed signal to your dash. Not legal by any means, but I know a shitload of people who do it.
Where are you located mate? I can help you with exhaust smile.gif

Do not cut your speed signal wire at the ecu, your hicas system will have a fit and before you know it you will be on here bitching about how your hicas system sucks arse.

Also as said above it is illegal.

If you want to loose the speed cut, get an aftermarket ecu or a hks speed cut defender or similar. Cheap mods will hurt you in the end.

With my gtst I did the following mods to get 185Kw. Dual dump pipe, 3inch exhaust from the dump back with high flow cat, apexi filter (K&N just as good), custom front mount intercooler & apexi SAFC. A good exhaust & filter does wonders to increase you power, but you limitation will be you ceramic turbo.

PS. I have a near new (user 3hrs) HKS Speed limit defender if you are keen PM me.

Welcome to Queensland smile.gif Where abouts are you? As far as the RB's go there are so many mods that you can do, is there a power figure you are aiming to?

Some basic things you could look at, would be putting on a pod filter, front mount inter cooler and as you said before you're after coil-overs.

Take a look at skylinesaustralia.com they're quite helpful there. Also, if you really want a aftermarket blow-off-valve send me a PM i've got one sitting in the garage basically new that will bolt straight on.

my r33 had k@n filter, bumped the boost up, twin plate cluth with light flywheel, add a hint of nos and sum slicks and went 12.4 @ 111mph not bad for a stocker, then added a michtech lt12s and a few other mods but never raced again
