1. why would his times be on your sheet
2. how did u end up in group 2? tongue.gif
3. have fun??? how did the new car go??? any pics?!

josh was in group 2 cos they probably only had 2 groups (maybe 3 if it was busy)

and last WAS they printed the sheets with everyones times for the group, rather than just your own times

hey mr no license smile.gif hehehe

1. they have this awsome new timing system where they put a timming strip on your car, and basicaly every session gives a print out of all the cars times so u dont have to go looking for your time sheet.

2. i lied on my PB time hahahaha

3. went really good, but still theres 2 seconds that could come off it if the damn red car didnt hold me up smile.gif 64.2 is my new record.. soon to be 62 something

edit damn it jezza beat me to it. there was 4 groups so looks like WAS is getting busier as well ?

i don't know if anyone else had this trouble, i think the new timing system is a bit soso. i have a pit crew member manually time me every session i go out. I was running solid 1:04.3-1:04.6 on the clubman curcuit. They came down cause they were setting everything up while i was practiseing and showed me the times. lowest being 1:05.1. to me that sounds a bit strange. Since my pit guy is usually only about .1 out. .5 to .8 seconds difference per lap is very off in my thoughts. Human error is not that bad when he is just pressing a button as i hit a grid position. Anyone that has in car logging it would be good to see the differences in the times they are coming up with.

yeah they tested it on us at the first top gear champs i went to. And it failed there to, it was showing about 1 second diference to my pit crew guy. It always seems to be that. Dunno guess we will just have to wait and see from pete on the day if it is close.

i took about 1.5 seconds off my best on clubman wednesday gogo fast saturday please tongue.gif

My understanding of the timing was that during trials they were running the tags AND still doing manual timing. I would have thought if it was out by a second, they'd have noted and made adjustments?

I forgot to check do you need to extend your CTP for this events or is it slightly different as it isn't run by CAMS?

Hey, yea, i ran on wednesday, and as far as i knew they were only using the new timing system. Anyway my performance box, which i would assume is pretty accurate was giving me times about a second quicker than the new timing system at QR.

Thought it might just be the performance box playing up, but now that you mentioned that... I may have to look into it further.

BTW i was exactly a second slower than my best as well. Coincidence?

What time people getting there in the morning? Better remember my hat and plenty of sunscreen.

I wont be out this saturday, I completely forget about it laugh.gif

Anyway, with the timing my old PB was a 66.23, then with the new system I did a 66.05. I did however have a slightly different setup between the 2 days, but I don't think enough to change things by a whole second. Guess we shall see what the people with timing systems get in comparison.

so what time do the actual sprints start tomorrow?

Rookie ROX
Post #1224

They usually hit off around 12:30pm. If you're sprinting and want a pit, I get there around 10:00-10:30am.
