It's a great event. Because it's not all about the winning & losing.
It doesn't matter how much $$$ you spent or how pristine your ride is.
It's about us as car lovers getting the chance to get out there and have some fun with our mates and enjoy our cars

In the drag days ive been too ive never heard anyone laughing at anyone else's misfortune or bad times. Last drag day i raced in i was having problems like you wouldnt believe, run slow as all buggery and no-one really gave a shit!

As PIG said, its all about having a bit of fun.

i'd be more worried the the bolts holding the checker-plate floor pan in come loose at 400mph and flies out bowrofl.gif

I think my 60ft was like 8.5 seconds.
Launch, gear popped out of first, back into first, went, missed second.

hahaha it cracked the head off the #4 piston pushed the head offset and took a chunk out of the bore. so i had to get a full rebuild. upgraded to forged pistons though so its all good.
