Nope, group 6 with all the new guys sad.gif But it was ok, had some fun with them smile.gif. Looking forward to breaking that 60s barrier, had to learn the car over again with a few more suspension tweaks, semi slicks and power steering.

Ah that would have been hard. Awesome time especially given the traffic.

congratulations to Rob and Ivan for doing a blistering 56.92 in their little black NA and putting our Z to shame we just cant keep up in those twisty corners, no PB for us only managing a 58.06.

thank you....

I think it's unfair to claim street tyres title with a car that is unable to get mod plate for the public roads or cars with bare metals interior. Times are going banana, so lets introduce some control lol It's a bit oxymoronic if you run road legal tyres in a unregisterable car. So I think only manly men run sprints with road legal tyres in their fully road legal car with aircond and a full sound system Sick uley

i fully agree.... i think next year we might race under the race class. that is just a thought.. might have to talk to the boys about it..

we had a few problems with the emanage.. but manage to sort it out at the 400pm testing run...

car is all good now.... we will be stripping the engine apart on monday to recondition and re-fresh the engine....
in prep for Jamboree and the next few track meets...

we are now at our wits end on how to get into the 55 secs... maybe we wll try using slicks...

Got put into the newbies group sad.gif , but still managed a PB of 61.73. I will be able to reach the low 60's no problem next time smile.gif Goal is to crack the 60's before the year is out.

Chasing that Topgear entered Skyline was great fun, he had a lil more squirt but I was faster in the corners, we both kept going wide offa turn 1 into the dirt trying to push it biggrin.gif

Next time hopefully not so much traffic for me and I'll be getting some sweet times, just gotta find the limit of these new tyres biggrin.gif

Anyone grab pics of a Silver Alfa 75 number 275?

Hey. I was admiring your car yesterday. Certainly has some balls down the straight and sounds very sweet. You did a remarkable job keeping the GTR honest.

Thanks, always nice to hear! smile.gif that was great fun chasing the GTR, it was a pity they had the lights going crazy, half of us thought it was being red flagged because they had the red lights on :S, they realized their mistake eventually.

I could catch him in the bends but he had a lil more squit down the straight that me, he got into the dirt more than I did wink.gif

Was a good day. It was my first time I've taken my car out (the red Z31). Was good to stretch her legs. I managed a 73sec which I thought was pretty good for a first-timer in a 21 year old car.

Sorry to the guy in the Red Alpha, gave you a little "love tap" when you spun coming into the main straight.

I just got to work on my suspension and tires now, I was drifting into and out of the dipper because I still haven't figured out the best time to brake and seemed to be coming in way too hot tongue.gif

If anyone got any good photos of me in the Red(lol) Z31, number 44 please throw them up smile.gif

Need to update your sig Rob wink.gif. Getting into the 55's will be a huge challange.

Car is being tuned shrotly and funds permitting I will be out. Would prefer to have the camber on the front sorted but don't think that will happen.

Nah I was only stirring things up for a bit of fun there lol
Congrats for you guys and the new PB...and some of the other fast people on the day as well. It was great fun to watch. Loosing weight or winding up the boost for more power are equally hardwork. Great to see your team efforts have been fruitful....now slow down so the rest of us can catch up rant2.gif

I just realised today that I had electrical problem after the amplifier, in the boot, jumped out of it's place lol I had some sort of speed sensor issue (even after I replaced the fuse) and were driving around with a big Zero on my speedo eek.gif On one of the session I was driving around with launch controller automatically on because the ecu thought the car was stationary. I was spitting out cloud of fuel through the exhaust on cars behind me when the engine reached 8krpm....so sorry for whoever were there. Vtec was not engaged as well since the speedo was zero the whole time.....so embarassing ph34r.gif

ah, ok, just wondering who was steering the blue S2000 in group 2. Because I have a feeling it's brakes were a little hot laugh.gif OR any other info about it, since I thoguht I didn't do too badly against it.

First time Ive been back to the sprints in a few years and the event has certainly grown, great to see so many quick road cars out there.
Congrats to Ivan and rob with the crx showing most cars up!!!!
I had a few overheating dramas which limited how hard I could push the car ,but it certainly showed up a big handling problem Ive got with the rear of my car bouncing on hard cornering, overheating brakes, cronic understeer once the front tyres overheated etc etc.
Anyway enough wingeing ,I will fix up my issues and come back later in the year, was good fun.Got down to a high 58 on sat so will have to try and better it .

Had a good day out there. was my first time on the track in the saloon car. did a 1:04.8 as best for the day but it helped me for the topgear meet which i got it down to a 1:01.9. Aiming for the 1 minute flat smile.gif good to see ya out there Ivan.

go Ivan and his team! you beat my boss which was good enough for me. he'll never live down the fact that a CRX beat his WRX laugh.gif i'm making sure of it. hopefully you guys can crack the 55's soon, i'm sure you will. you just keep getting faster.

shame i couldnt come.......again tears.gif but i have some very big dramas. on that topic too, i thought i'd ask all of you guys as well. i'm having transmission problems. if you can help, then let me know. i'd like to have this car fixed before the end of the year sad.gif

It's a working progress. There is only 24 hours during the day you know and there are so many things on my plates. I've been too busy playing with my other cars as well. There will be a few changes soon so hopefully next year should be a lot more fun.

When are you going to bring ur back on the track? We need more blue on the track biggrin.gif

Looking at the points, nearly all of the categories, except Race 2 are very much up for grabs.

Going to be an exciting finish to the year...

Got another stone chip smack in the middle of my windscreen on Saturday. Last outing chipped and cracked to the edge and needed to replace the whole screen. This time I think it can just be repaired. My car is a magnet for stones. sad.gif
