Hi guys we have contacted NT news to do a write up, contacted police need to get back to them with route, berry springs will be too far expecially if some of the disabled and their families turn up which we are hoping they will come and join the fun. Will contact radio and the TV this week also, also working on flyers to get around town should all be done by Wed this week. We have picked Sunday 23rd Sept 2007. Thanks for all the support these guys at Kokoda industries do a great job. We are trying to get donations for meat, bread etc. $10 bucks a car is good hopefully we will get enough to buy or go towards work uniforms for the guys. |

I'll donate $200 purely towards the BBQ if no sponsors stick their hands up - any left over money (not donations) could be used to buy those cheapy disposable cameras and maybe the first 5-10 passengers to donate get a camera to take photos with during the cruise and at the BBQ and give them back and I can take them to get printed up. |

QUOTE(Brett gts-4 @ Sep 6 2007, 11:22 PM) yes i realise i need to make it happen just after a few ideas thats all, also becky, the managment, admin and support staff will be attending. police will be notified, at this stage we'll say it will be held on the23rd of september which is a sunday so if anyone could get maybe some food or some cans of drink donated or can be bought cheap please let me know in a pm. and as becky mentioned it will be an alcohol free event. so far the plans are as follows: 11:00am- meet at cas beach (top car park) for a meet and greet with drivers to explain any details that need to be said. where the CEO of the orginisation will be there to collect donations. 11:30am- leave cas beach area and head into town via vanderlin drive and down mcmillins road, onto bagot road, and into town, (that way we get a bit of a drive at least). and then back to nightcliff pool car park for a bbq lunch open to the public to buy, however cost of entry will cover lunch for cruise members. entry fee/ donation will be $20 for drivers, would be nice if any passengers could throw in $5 if they can spare it. please note any breaking of road rules will not be tolerated and although police will be notified of the event does not mean your above the law, please remember that. if i have missed anything or you would like more information just ask here or in a pm thanks hope to see a good turn out as this is for a good cause for people who really need all the support they can get. thanks again |

23rd September, meet at 11am cruisin at 11.30 change to plans the finish will now be at the water gardens. This was change by council recommendation as we are hoping to get a few there. Got permits etc for use of roads, more flyers went out today, community billboard with southern cross was informed today, Got sponsorship from Woolies, Tracey Village and Independent motor mart and repco are looking good. Also a bakery is promising. All starting to fall into place very well. Oh need to re contact Coca Cola tomorrow to see if they are gonna put in for some drinks. Have also got flyers out to a motor cycle club so there may be some bikes mixed in with the cars. |

QUOTE(Brett gts-4 @ Sep 11 2007, 07:42 PM) hey guys thanks for the support, it really helps. second we have made up some flyers, we have heaps, there are a few at night and day auto care and auto barn so far and hopefully there will be something on the community billboard you see on the TV and possibly the radio too. i will put a one up on here if you guys want to print one off for your selfs, i will soon be asking for more definate numbers so we know how much food and drink will be needed, we are currently trying to get hold of beat the heat to participate but no luck so far. gemzu, thanks heaps for your offer to help with the bbq will be very much appreciated, also great idea for the cameras too. as mentioned the NT news should be there to take some photo's for the paper and maybe we'll make the local news. i also have maps marked out where we'll be going, basically starting at cas beach, down trower rd, onto vanderlin dr, right at berrimah police station, down mc millins rd, left onto bagot, throught mitchell st, down esplanade, and back to nightcliff pool area for lunch. and a swim if you really want to. also great idea about getting free or ( cheaper) entry fee into the pool, i'll give them a call tomorrow and let you know.[u] if there are any questions please pm me or give me a call on: 0418859186 ps. it will be HPA Management cooking the BBQ on the day so u guys don't have to do any work it is enough that you turn up to try and make this a moment in History for HPA, The cruise will also be put in the HPA newsletter. Man you really need to start reading things throough i know we all miss shit but your doing it all the time i have highlighted it and underlined it for you read up man. |

QUOTE(zmit @ Sep 18 2007, 10:57 PM) how about this? why not everyone split up into our own little groups as well? representing all of the car clubs in darwin? eg, the rollaclub guys stick together, the vw guys stick togther, the nthsv guys stick together, etc. what do u think? Sorry timbo but i have to disagree. Afterall, we are trying to bring the car culture together for these cruises, not separate them. |
