Hey all.

I recently bought a turbo manifold off an Ebay company.

It doesnt fit, the pipes hit in about 3 different places, and we had to make the holes bigger so we could actually bolt them in ads they werent a good alignment.

so anyway im down $300 to start with, plus $200 labour - ive e-maild the company and im still waiting to hear from them, can i ask for $500 back because it was meant to fit all RB25DET's, and it diddnt.

Cheers

T28 dump pipes fit off ebay

That's about it.

Manifolds generally suck, they either don't fit/crack over time. Suspension bits (castor rods, camber arms) also generally crack or the joints in them suck.

Ebay. Good for some things.

Absolutely no chance whatsoever.

You should have test fitted and if it didn't fit, emailed them and asked to return for a refund. Now because you've altered it, they won't accept it.

Unfortunately garfield is right, learn from it and hopefully you'll have some better luck next time.

yeah as rookie rockshit said your screwed, you altered the product.

although, ebay has a protection scheme that lets you get 50% or so of your money back (up to $1000) so look into that, at least you have something...

yeah your fucked, might as well try and sell it on here.

as stated ebay is good for somethings. cars/parts i wouldnt recommend.
car audio on the other hand is a different story.

bad luck, G A M E O V E R (insert coin) continue 10,9,8,7,6.....and so on

Bye bye $500.

Cut losses. Buy a new one.

I wouldn't say cut your losses.... yet.

The item wasn't as described. I'd wait for a reply and if they don't reply in a couple of days.. send another email and repeat untiil you've sent 3 emails. If you get no reply or they've said stiff shit.. Take it up with ebay.. you *might* get something back.

If they're a reputable seller they should refund if you send it back. Otherwise, yeah, you're probably fucked.

Ok, this is my opinion:

Ebay is good, its very good as you dont get as much markup and stuff that you get through a lot of shops etc etc, but you end up paying delivery though. There is nothing wrong with ebay itself, its the problem of buying cheap parts off it made by unknown companies (something like wingchangwow auto parts or so) that say that they known what they are talking about etc etc, if your gonna do that then your in for trouble 9 times out of 10. If you buy reputable products that are half decent at least, that people have used and are genuine brands, then sure why not, but just be careful that you know what you are buying. Ebay is good, unless you buy crap smile.gif

Just my 2 cents, ive never had a problem with any ebay products, because i dont buy cheap stuff or knockoffs...but yeah to answer your question, i dont think your going to get any money back, as you have altered the original product

Dave

EDIT: Ok, maybe you may get your money back, lol, was typing my last post as you posted yours, my bad guys smile.gif

I would never buy anything to do with cars off ebay. Too many people i know have been ripped off.
Mind you, most people i know are into old school and dont buy shit from online performance shops, mainly stuff from private sellers, etc.

Unless it's something generic available in stores (not car related items), I also follow that rule. I'll buy second hand from private sellers, but don't like dealing with actual stores.

I learnt that starting with a nice, but confronting email first, followed by more aggressive emails if a desireable response is not gained initially worked. I tried an aggressive one first once, ended up being banned from purchasing from the seller because they didn't like it facesjump.gif

But good to hear there's still some decent sellers out there. thumbsup.gif
