QUOTE(josh_eli @ Jun 13 2007, 05:58 PM) thanks guys. i am going to use standard crank, h beam rods, forgies, it is 4 an LJ 2door torana. If your building an LJ 2 door, why ruin it with a nissan engine?? Keep it all Aussie and use a 308 with an offset ground crank and chev rods. Will give you a 333 stroker. Add to this a capa or vortex supercharger, a set of ported VN 5.0 heads, a set of roller rockers, a good balance, a set of forgies, maybe throw a set of solid lifters with a 288 cam and roller rockers at it and you have a 600hp engine that will be all but bullet proof and cost you the same as your RB30 will. Why blow a 6 when you can blow an 8 for the same money and have more HP. Cant beat cubes!! |

Dont think so. It will be a freakin hand grenade. A bog stock injected VN 304 with a tricked up turbo pattern trimatic and a set of 3.45 diff gears in an LJ will pull 11's all day long. You could have this set up in the car for under 3K. One thing you have to remember with a RB30 is that the block WILL crack when u try for over approx 600hp. Spoke to nizpro a while back about building an engine for my VLT calais and they advised me to use an RB25 engine and stroke it. |
