so i have been looking for an ecu upgrade for my 95 r33 gts-t however every were i look it all seems to be about the apexi fc. are they as good as EVERYONE says (you know, ducks nuts, bees knees and all that jazz) or are there other options out there. i realise they are relatively cheap, easy to tune and direct plug and play however i wouldnt mind paying a little more for something different.
any advice or review would be mint!

They do work really well on Nissans. What else can be said?

Other options are a Haltech system or Motec, depending on your price range these brands have differing models to choose from. The ducks nuts one being the Motec M800. But bang for your buck you can't go past the PFC. Have a look at the above two options, but seriously when you compare price and the features and functions the PFC has most of it covered.

i would ring a professional tuner and see what they think would work best with your ride, as some computers allow more adjustment than others, contact who ever is tuning the car and see what they say.

really depends on what your building the car for...

Power FC is good for its price, also for street/ocassion track days, it is fine. having said that, a lot of tough japanese cars over there are still managed by power FC. so it is good.

but Halteck or Motec are far better, especially for serious power. you pay a lot more money for them though.

thanks for the advice guys, much apreciated.
what i want from the car is a bit of a weekend warrior however it is a day to day driver. so far the standard apexi fc seems the go however if they are not making them anymore then there goes that idea out the window.
also i need to decide wether this is the mod i should be making.
my problem is that to get any aftwermarket work done to the car i have to drive a 2000 km round trip to darwin so any work i do needs to be worth the fuel, accomadation and so on.
the car is as stock as a rock at the mo, apart from a 3inch exhaust (cat back).
any ideas on what is a good starting point, first mods?, my end power goal would be around 270-280 rwkw and i have budgeted for around $3000 for the first trip.....hmmmm decisions, decisions dunno.gif
thanks again
