QUOTE(miniboy_27 @ Oct 30 2006, 08:51 PM) my 94 vitara i dont know y there are so many siera's setup for offroad and so little vitara's maybe i might set a trend, hope you all like the reason they arent done up as much as the sierra's is because sierra's have a rigid front diff setup, where as these have a ifs setup... not as much travel as a rigid, therefore not as good offroad... |

another thing is that a lot of the newer 4wd's are coming out with ifs, and with the growing market for people to own 4wd and not bloody use the things for their intended purposes is growing heaps... IFS is there to pretty much accomodate for the soccer mums in their huge fourbies that have no intention whatsoever to go offroad... |

In my opinion 4wds are getting wussier and wussier model after model... although nissan patrol has done quite well to stay true to its roots and not offer a IFS model... well i dont think it does anyway, please correct me if i'm wrong ! yes they are, well patrol and cruiser utes are still pretty tough and don't offer all the socker mum luxuries. UNFORTUNATLY the 2007 patrol will be IFS and IRS, no joke, great for the socker mums. they also arn't making utes with the 4.2's anymore, the utes will now be 3 litre (i think). independent suspension all round, and powered by a Turbo Diesel ZD45 producing 180kw and 570Nm or 5.6ltr Petrol V8 producing 240kw and 520Nm, 6 speed manual or auto ![]() ![]() |
