Well apparently this thing is more economic, than a Yaris. I agree with Rookie ROX. Buying any performance car or modifying any car and expecting great fuel ecomony, is just stupid. |

Im not sure many people are thinking a whole lot about their answers. I too immediatly thought boost, simply because I like light Jap cars that accelerate well and handle well. However after watching the latest episode of 'Pinks' (an American Tv show where people race best 3 out of 5 races for the pink slip of the other guys car) I have a newly found fondness for the V8. |

QUOTE(Jimmy Boy @ Jul 15 2006, 12:56 AM) Im not sure many people are thinking a whole lot about their answers. I too immediatly thought boost, simply because I like light Jap cars that accelerate well and handle well. However after watching the latest episode of 'Pinks' (an American Tv show where people race best 3 out of 5 races for the pink slip of the other guys car) I have a newly found fondness for the V8. I mean lets face it, ALL Jap cars are good only after you modify it. I mean a GTR isn't all that great until you start adding after market stuff to it. Hence the first thing people ask me once they see my s15 is "what have you done to it" because everyone knows a stock S15 isnt that fast or great. Now most v8s on the road (or atleast the ones I see) havnt had anywhere near the amount of money spent on it compared to my S15, While I can destroy any stock Xr8, I'm sure if it had 7 grands worth of upgrades it would beat me. Now comparing a Evo 8 to a R8 to me hands down an R8. Ok ok so it wont handle as well as an Evo. But have any of you ever riden inside a new R8 or atleast sat in one. WHOLLY shit it is nice, the quality of the finish, the luxury, the comfort, THE ROOM. It is an extreemly nice and pleasent car to be in. Now it still has 400 horse power so it aint slow either. and when you hear that 6.0L engine start to roar it is very exillerating. It makes for a great GT car. The build quality and finish to the workmanship can only be compared to cars like BMW and Mercedes Benz. If any of you have driven or been inside an Evo8 you will know it is a fun car to drive, but it is far from a pleasent or comfortable car to be in. The interior is very cheap, plasticy and most of everything is manually controlled not to mention the ride is very stiff and there isn't much room. It is very much a race car not a GT car. It is a car that after a while it will do your head in (like most Ferraris). Therefor you wont be able to drive this car as far as the R8 without getting tired, nor will it be as relaxing (if you so desired) as an R8 If you are only and I mean only looking at what is better performance wise, then probably the Evo is better, But as a whole package to be used every day and at the track you cant go past an R8. Espically if it has an exhaust and a tuned suspension set up. If I had a choise between my 185kw at the wheel S15 and a 300kw at the engine R8 clubsport, I know exactly what Id be taking home. And anyone who calls a 2006 HSV Clubsport R8 a Bogan Mobile seriously need their head read. Again On topic I'll take a 300kw 3.5L v8 Ferrari 360 over a turbo Jap anyday. Or a 4.5L v8 Koenigsegg. Now what jap car is better than those two do u think. Finally someone, with a brain. Well said mate. ![]() I would take the R8 aswell, for the whole package. Yeah the Koenigsegg is awesome. Fastest car in the world. (Before the Bugatti Veyron) 4.5L of twin supercharged goodness. ![]() |
