i currently am doing up my hilux i made my own exhaust manifold and intake manifold 3inch exhuast i got bigger injectors for it a microtech computer but i would like to know if you need the std computer at all?

What microtech did you get? I'm in the same boat as you cept i got most on my stuff from this guy http://www.facebook.com/QuickSpool

We doing group buys on plenum and exhaust manifolds if u want in.

I was going to do a parallel install with a haltech ps500 and a standard 3rz computer, but that to much of a pain in the ass! So im getting the ps1000 which is everything like air con, accessories the ps500 didnt cover.

How far along are u dude?

my hilux run's but it stall's because of the stock computer, the microtech is the LTX10. I have all the stuff now i just need to know about the old computer if i can do away with it. I have a bosh 044 pump to put in just gotta whip up a surge tank, it has a aeromotive reg, 650cc injectors, a small t3/to4e, 3inch s/s exhaust, external wastegate, big frontmount i had to change a little but all the work i have done myself.
I have seen people write that they are getting around 240rwhp? do u thing i would need a head gasket to get these figures?

Microtech has gone down the shitter with customer service, they dont even take calls ne more, thats why i went haltech.

some guys can get over 300hp without doing the hg, but its something i would be doing with arp headstuds.

got any pics of your build?

Yeah they werent to bad with me i was going to get a haltech as well but in darwin no one knows anything about them and there are a few people who know microtech. i will put some photos up as soon as i put some on my computer. how are you coming along with yours?

i bought arias pistons that were fucked, so sending them back to the usa. Was meant to be ready for powercruise... lol

besides that pretty good.

here are some pics and i decided to get a head gasket and head stud kit, sorting them out now and ill prob start installing the pump computer and surge tank injectors and that this week coming then of to the dyno a couple of weeks later hopefully haha never works outthe way you plan.

sounds like you have a bit done to your engine and stuff hey? i wish i had of got a bigger turbo but i think i might be able to pull some numbers ill be happy with.

good work jamie, less chance of something going wrong, stick to a cometic head gasket 1 or 2mm and arp headstuds

be careful with that catch can vented to air

are they ls1 coilpacks?

I see you change the stock pcv valves. How come u blocked one off tho, could of maybe run it into a t peice then to the catch can?

ill be doing the my catch can like bnkrup's

i like the inlet manifold how much was it from qickspool? um yeah im running dash 10 hose so i thoughtit should be ok my mates from the custom shop said it should be fine. would have liked to run both though...
im not sure they are the coils that come with the computer
why do you say watch out with the catcha can is that for rego reasons?

the guy is doing a group buy on them at the moment, he also upgraded them so there not squareish

hi there again everyone i got my utes dyno done a few weeks ago it made 202.5 rwhp on 7psi pings a little at hi rpm but having a problem with the tps it will only reads 50% on the hand controler and we had 2 move it clocwise but it reads full throttle at half throttle. there are a few other ploblems trying 2 get rid of sux any help would be nice.

hey bud, i gota turbo hiace wit a 2rz in it, i run a lt10 with the bosch coils, u wont need the stock computer at all.. maybe u could try a skyline tps? altho i havent changed mine and it worked fine with the microtech.. ive also heard of guys runnin ova 20psi thru standard 3rz and have no head problems for a fair while so they're pretty strong from stock

does it read 0% closed and 99% at open? its weird its wired up rite i think??? should check it out.

i have 550cc injectors in mine and they are plenty enough

sard what though? suit nissan? what did u do to the head? pull the plastic stuff out and make new inserts or do they just slide in?

did u space the rail up or have to shorten it?

whats do u mean sard what? The size is 1000cc, which might be to big, will have to wait and see, not guna happen for a while tho

There gotta be 11mm to fit the stock 3rz rail, think u can also get away with 12 and 13, will check.
