standard turbo on this are so small lol if you need or want parts try trademe.co.nz they have these legnums/vr4 for $5000 and stuff nz ftw Yeah I got my manual conversion kit from NZ sent to perth. Still worked out cheaper even with the freight charges than buying it locally. TD03's are ridiculously small, but with the stockies one guy in NZ managed to get 227kw at all fours with them maxed out. Comparison of the kkr with the td03 |

not taking a stab or anything, good on you for the effort so far. As far as I could read up on these on NZ forums especially, I was continuously told 'Avoid' - transmission issues, turbos? parts being expensive and that you can't get Mitsubishi Australia to help order in parts ? |

As far as I could read up on these on NZ forums especially, I was continuously told 'Avoid' - transmission issues, turbos? parts being expensive and that you can't get Mitsubishi Australia to help order in parts ? Then mechanics who worked on evos saying they are difficult to work on what not , but then I see something like yours and makes me wonder hmm maybe I should've bought one .. Gl with it No offense taken mate, the autos need to have decent transmission fluid, a trans cooler, and a previous history of being taken care of with regular services, otherwise they can die, and then you are looking at min $2k for a rebuild, or $2k for a manual conversion. The turbos are small, but very reliable, you can boost the hell out of them, max 15-17psi all day long and get 200kw atw easy with bolt on mods and a good tune. There is a serious lack of space with the way the engine is configured, similar to the 3000gt's, east west, so yeah, a little pokey... But you can pick up nice examples with sub 100k km for like $10k. Parts can be found via wreckers and halfcuts, japan or NZ is cheap also. |

This is only one in Australia atm with a twin turbo upgrade, although there are a few people overseas that have done it, one guy in the USA put a big GT35 garrett ball bearing single and made similar power to mine, a friend of his managed to get 11.7 quarter mile with it, he can't drive that well himself and managed mid 12's, you can also throw the Subi TD04's on there and get great power. There are plans of a few other guys to throw twin garret GT25r's to get the balance of decent power with awesome spool and response. |

Hey mate, Very nice, loving the mods...I'm thinking of importing a galant but the one i'm lookin at is a auto, that 2k you mentioned for a manual conversion, was that including labour or did u do it yourself? was it hard to find the box or are they reasonably cheap from NZ? will look sweet with the wheels as well.... my brother just bought a legnum as well! i only tested it in the city but they seem to get up and go not too bad stock... would be sweet with a manual and the td03s..... $2k for just the gear itself, the labour you'd have to pay someone or yeah, try to convince your mates to help you.... There are a few manual wrecks being auctioned off on pickles atm, you can also pick up a half cut easy enough for $2k or so.... or else yeah there is usually someone selling one in NZ. Better off buying a manual from the start though, check ozvr4 forum and carsales, usually a few manuals on there, eg a black manual for $13k, click here |

worst seat install ever Have a look at the the stock seats, they remind me of the seats you see on public buses, no support for fast corning either. These black leather ones actually fit fine into the car, the pic is a little deceiving, they are very supportive and supremely comfortable and function perfectly. |
