After trolling around quite a few forums, looking for manifold designs etc, i found quite alot of errr "tragic" fabrication!

Who else has some pics of disaster situations when n00bs get their hands on a mig and let loose???

Oho, wait till tomorrow and I'll see if I can pics of this baby. We had a customer bring in an alloy pipe that he asked a radiator shop to weld for him. It started off as a simple 3" mandrel bend, he had removed the inside radius of the bend and cut another 3" mandrel bend with a smaller radius to fit inside it, basically ending up with a larger opening on the other end. It had all been cut and prepared, all the shop had to do was weld it together.

From the outside, the weld looked pretty bad - no even puddling, way too much filler used, etc and then you look inside the pipe. There was a HUGE line following the weld around, probably 5mm thick and 10mm high. The pipe would be lucky to flow the same as a 2.25" bend eek3.gif
