Bring your car out to the next sprint event at Queensland Raceway and enter your car in the AMEC Automotive Performance track event, to be held in conjunction with the next QR sprint day.

There are 2 categories, the 3 fastest cars in each category win CASH and trophies!

the cash prize pool split will be as follows:

FOR CARS WITH UNDER 60s Personal Best (Category A):
1st place: 50% of category A prize pool
2nd place: 30%
3rd place: 20%

FOR CARS WITH OVER 60s Personal Best (Category B):
1st place: 50% of category B prize pool
2nd place: 30%
3rd place: 20%

there will also be a trophy for last place - the wooden spooner encouragement award smile.gif

ENTRY FEE: $25 in addition to your QR Sprint fee OR $20 for pre-entry.

HOW TO ENTER: entries will be taken on the day or you can pre-enter for a discounted entry fee of $20. after you have confirmed your sprints entry send me a PM if you want to enter our event.

YOU MUST ENTER THE QR SPRINTS SEPERATELY PRIOR TO THE TRACK DAY. The Entry form for the QR sprints is found here:

WHEN: the next QR sprints round on April 14th.

Of course our own car is not eligible to compete in the event! smile.gif

Haha I would love to compete but I know certainly that my current car is not even close to being competitive. Although I may compete just for shits and giggles to take out the wooden spoon tongue.gif.

2)Do i get a prize for having the most hilarious car?

there is really not point in having a turbo n no turbo as a certain crx would just win the NA class all the time

1) no, anyone can enter
2) good idea, tough to judge though, there are usually a few contenders for that prize on the day!

I could always run 2 categories, cars PB 60 seconds and under, and cars PB 60 seconds and over, if there is enough interest.

I don't think it would be in Ivan's/Rob's (Hipower Racing) interest to enter into a sub event obviousily aimed at new drivers entering Sprint racing smile.gif

With any luck they should be out there for the next round thou ... I just have to encourage Ivan out with more dim sim's laugh.gif

so it wasnt obvious that it was aimed at new drivers !

But its great that your trying to get new guys out there, I know ill be racing but i doubt ill competting with a 67 lap time sad.gif

It's all good ... there's still plenty of straights to use the Datto in biggrin.gif

It would make me happy in the pants to see the Datto of love run around QR happy.gif

Ok i just looked back from time sheets last year , and the best time i have done is 60.1800 so i just make it into the slower than 60 bracket .
