You are very much like my son in that respect Alpha,I have just spent the last two days on the farm,helping (I do the welding) adapt his latest radiator (third one) to his beetle.This one is an all aluminium racing one that is slightly larger than the Alfa one,to handle the Airconditioning heat more easily.He also fitted a newer gearbox,as the old one was getting a bit ordinary,because a 2.5 Litre Subie motor puts out a few more ponies than a 1600cc DakDak |

I have the workshop and skills to do any modifications to any vehicles, but I choose to go down the as new original rare vehicle path or mods that cannot be seen, it all comes down to individual taste. Mine is towards cars you can drive at their full potential within a tight budget. |

The last time i saw that GT-R it had the 08 factory bumper and kit on it. The later gen came out with the day time running lights. |

I remember people saying - of the 2011 floods, compared to the 1974 floods, that one major difference was peoples abilities to do their own renovation works rather than having to rely on trades people as happens now. those skill sets are declining, same as people who do their own fab work.. It will be off the chain when they get into 3d printing, I'm calling that as the biggest game changer of the past 30 years, watch the developments from that in custom fab etc. I prob have a GTR invested in tools and equip, lol |
