Eh, i bought a Bosch drill and impact driver off of Amazon a few months ago for $200 (probably worth $600 in Aus...) and they're pretty damn good. Certainly not their top of the range stuff but compares to Makita stuff that's for sure. Also used their top of the line drill and it shits all over Hitachi / Makita / DeWalt stuff i've used. More torque than you can poke a stick at. Their hole saws are good too. But that's all their "Industrial" gear, wouldn't be surprised if their DIY or whatever they call it stuff is garbage. Hilti > all. Most of my gear, cordless drills, hammer drill, collated screw gun, etc are Hilti, and having been working trouble free for up to 17 years. I also have a DeWalt and Hitachi cordless, both broke within the first year of having to do hard work. I have heard many stories, positive and negative about the brands listed as well as the usual Panasonic etc, but from what I've seen across several trades and industries, Hilti have always been superior and more reliable. Most people tend to agree, but can't justify the price. It becomes justified when your income is reliant on having working tools. |
