Bar came up like new from the look of the photos, you polish it by hand or with the mop attachments?

Yeah I was impressed. I used a buff and a wool pad.

No no, That's just dirt from laying on the ground. Surface rust on chrome probably won't come off though.

There is a wadding product from Eagle One which will take light surface rust off of chrome/stainless. It's a polishing wad that tears off and polishes at the same time, good for wheels etc, then polish over the top with whatever brand of polish you so desire.

So since the last update not alot has been done because of waiting for parts but that aside the door and lock gaskets arrived so they were fitted and the door handles/ locks were put back on. Got the rest of the chrome strips around the windows on too.

Should have the door windows fitted within the next week and the front and rear wind shields around the same time.

Dug out one of the 3 useless bonnets I have and welded up the rust left to weld, Then paint stripped it and smeared some bog onto it. Plans are to just spray some primer on it, sit it on the car for rego and buy a better one when I can, It's not worth wasting paint on it.

Bought some paint (silver frost) and re-sprayed the grille as well for the second time. Just have to finish it off by doing the black outlines.

But yeah, Still waiting on parts to come through the post until then..... sad.gif

And also the stato door trims I picked up for it.

Yeah James was telling me about this. If it's in decent condition, well better then the ones I have now I'll definitely buy it.

So this weekend we done a bit.

Got the rooflining in and will never be buying from A1 auto trimmers again. Their roof lining is shit. When GM-H made their roof linings they were stitched into massive rows and was roof lining was cut to shape where as the one I bought was stitched into shaped causing it to wrinkle everywhere!

Heres my roof lining, You can see they've stitched the corner peice in:

And in dads it's one complete section and they've cut it to shape, not stitched:

Anyway, Got the pillar covers, pinch welds and door trims painted and on the car and then fitted the windows in both front doors and that was that for the interior for now. I was going to vinyl dye the seats but ran out of paint and thanks to no-one stocking it ( well that's what it seems like ) we couldn't get any more. We we did buy it, It took us 3 different stores to get 5 cans with 2 of the repco stores we went to only having 1 can in stock. (I blame Oram for this tongue.gif )

Got the bonnet in primer which is as far as that will be going no point wasting good paint on a bonnet full of bog, Right? So I'll wait till I find something decent. It will be looking like some boy racer, jdm mix with the different coloured bonnet. Needs more subaru bonnet scoop and sticker bombing I say?
biggrin.gif I'll be taking the bonnet hinges to work to sit in degreaser for a day and then wire brush, paint and then onto the car they'll go.

And finally, Sanded down and painted the very top of the dash.

joel what did you use to paint the top of the dash, vinyl dye?

Be-Hating

No because where I painted was the part of the dash where the vents are which is metal so just sprayed it in some gloss black.

CAM-327

I want to do the same, when the time comes for a new screen i'll paint it up. H4's are ordered.

So this weekend I've mainly painted stuff.

Painted the bonnet hinges and got them on the car closely followed by the bonnet then moved onto the interior. Painted the front seats and the lower section of the back seat, I need to pick up a decent top section which is why I didn't paint mine.

Went over to the swap meet this morning and ending up grabbing a short hq console, heater, visors, headlight surronds and a KMAC rear body mounted sway bar for a decent price and then re-painted the sway bar, console and headlight surrounds when I got home.

Organised for a new front windsheild to be fitted tomorrow and the rear one to be fitted as well then I can get the trim on! Sweet and I should have my headlights and headlight surrounds on the car during the week.
