Hey guys, just started spraying a bit of 2pac on some replacement panels and wanted to see what ratios other people are using ratios for primer:hardener base coat:hardener clear coat: hardener also what psi is everyone using when using a hvlp gun? |

Mate to mix it prop you will need to get sum mixing sticks |

Its all relative to the brand you are using. Directions should be on the tin. This. Different ratio's per brand and product. 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1..... You get the idea. If you get it wrong it will not go off. And for the pressure, it depends on alot of factors: How you spray, what you're spraying, amount of thinner etc. Different for every person/ job. |

I recently painted a 42 foot twin hull yacht in marine 2k. Whats the big deal? I've seen car painters over the few years when I used to paint, talk their gun skills up, and when it came to the business end, promptly fuck it up pretty badly. I've painted a couple of cars, other than the tricks of the trade; certain masking techniques etc. it is alot easier to paint a car IMO and the products are easier to spray. What brand of paint did you use? -Oh, and with a 60ft yacht, you have the extra 20ft of hull in length and 1-1.5m of extra height in the hull to paint. |
