Yeah iv had them for a while now, hence all my input in your thread on outers about your length and other dramas. Good shocks though, love the travel in the slow and love the quality in the quick stuff. Will look to go to 2.5s when these need a rebuild. ohhhhhh now the penny drops i didnt even make the connection/ didnt realise that MJ80 owned that car. The next step for me will be 2.5 coil overs i feel. You'll never guess it but im gonna have to buy another pair of 14's now too. Turns out with extended bump stops and 35"s the rear will fit them. Thus is the stigma of pioneering a car no one really bothers with! |

Ironically i know exactly what you mean, when i did my research on doing moving up to the long travel Fox's i couldn't find ANY information at all for anyone that had done them in an 80 series before and kept it as a daily driver without total customs mounts and towers ect. As hard as it is to believe about a car so widly used around the world as the 80, i could only find two guys in the USA that had done it before and i wasn't satisfied with how they had done it or couldn't get the info out of them, and there was no one in Australia apart from people who had payed Autocraft in vic to to the install and build for them, closest i got in Aus was a 105 series in perth that ran a similar setup, but still had to go it alone. So i know exactly what its like to sort of just jump into it and give it your best shot and in a way, pioneer it. There was just NO useable info to help me info what so ever and it was an awful shitfight having to work it all out and work around mounting issues ect, in hindsight its all very easy but not the first time round. Worth it though. |

snips Not bad at all bud, quite a change from the Triton but its good your jumping right into it and looks to be a neat pick up. You will need both those fuel tanks too, that engines worse than the 1FZ on fuel ! a friend who owns one says it wouldn't be over the top to actually tow a trailer full of fuel around behind you with those things ![]() |
