0-100k's is a 4.82 according to the ECU datalogger and confirmed by my PLX OBD gauge. Was a relatively soft gearshift too.

Took me around 5 hours to get the tune spot on on the wideband(stock AFM has airflow shift, long story) but the customer was extremely impressed... also has better fuel economy as well.

1/4 mile is a little hard to say, as the owner is a 29yr old workmate of my missus and I doubt she will ever see a race track in her life.

That time is bone-stock, no tune?

I was refering to the 5K into a WRX bit of the quote I linked.

$500 flash tune for stock STI killing performance is what I was getting at smile.gif

Factory ECU is strangled by torque management sad.gif

pay off the $43 000 dept.
and buy an excel

Wtf is dept?

At this stage guys, leaning towards a 6.2L VE GTS, 6speed. 317kw, Very low km, immaculate interior and has definately ticked all the boxes IMO..

Drove a few fg's. Wasn't overly impressed, and couldn't get my eyes around liking the interior and the seats just aren't my thing. Drives nice and shifts hard.

Yet to see a F6, but nothings set in concrete yet... I would also like to see a WRX/STi, do a sub 5sec out of the box? My old R8 had a claimed 5.1 I think, and best MOTOR could ever get was a 5.5 as they are fucked to try and launch.

Launch control on HSV is fun fun fun!

What the?
I thought we were having a discussion about whether old-mate saying a stock wrx will run sub 5s was accurate?

I just test drove a new WRX today. Premium Model, Leather + satnav + Sunroof, they retail for 48k get one for 45 easy or less. Felt really nice, Super quick aswell, even if you get the base model, put like 5grand into it and it will be just as quick as the STI for quite a bit less cash!

They are saying its capable of sub 5sec 0-100 out of the box!

I was refering to them being 'capable' of a sub 5 second with the aforementioned 5grand into it. Not necessarily out of the box but all factory parts with just an ECU flash tune is damn good results!

With 5 grand there are several sub-100k cars that will smash it. F6 for example. Hell, my SRT6 is running 4.3, and I've given it about 3! If I added a tune on there it'd be in the 3s-and that's a 6 year old car you can pick up for 25k now.

It's respectable, don't get me wrong, but I have a real issue with people blurring "stock" with "lightly worked".

I was talking 0-60, and no.

I've previously posted my mid 12s 1/4 slip and dyno though.

The 0-60 was done with a friend's dash recorder. I can also link you to several magazine articles that got a 0-60 of 4.7-4.8 bone stock, and given that I'm making 20-odd HP more than that 4.3 seems not improbable.

EDIT:
That same friend running a 3.9 with the same mods as me (CAI,Code Three pulley) and a tune.

Edit:
Don't mean to spam the thread, but I was, in fact, called out.

My point is that there are a number of cars around that price that will do sub 5s for 5k.
The F6 is one, the 135i also comes to mind.

Typically Im a Holden guy. But I much much prefer the look the FG FPVs over the current range of HSVs. Espicially in white man those FPVs look tough.

But if I had the money I'd still buy the HSV because of the interior. The quality of the FORD interior isn't even on the same page as the HSV and from my experience that is what has always let the FORDs down.

Don't get me wrong a BMW or Mercedes interior is far better than a HSVs as well but although Holden claim their cars are just as good they aren't really on the same page.

Are you talking BF or FG interior, FG is miles ahead, I test drove a E3 GTS when i got the F6, and to be honest the interior in that wasnt as good a quality as the F6, dont get me wrong was a very nice car, but the price and the styling i couldnt live with. They wanted 25k more than i paid for the F6 mamoru.gif

I have sat in both the latest FPV and HSV offerings and I reckon the ford was better

Damn that's ballsy.

And also a lie.

EDIT:
Reminds me of Volvo's silly "enough power to whip the Germans" campaign.

Why? We live in a country that uses KPH, not MPH, and 0-60 is a good 3.5kph lower than the usually quoted 0-100, it should be 0-62.5 if anything to be comparible.

Because the cars I look at purchasing are primarily reviewed in foreign magazines, websites and television programs that use 0-60.
Same reason I think in HP not KW.

Turbo, cams, plenum etc. Its not an outright power horse tho, just responsive.

That was with a fair bit of wheelspin, 2 people in the car and a flat change into second.

55m seems pretty short tho? Its an apexi RSM with the added additional G-sensor, to make it far more accurate then standard units. So who knows how accurate it really its. dunno.gif Better then a stop watch i guess oopsie.gif

Stock R33s around around 6.5 seconds to 100. And mid to high 14s for the 1/4.

Stock rwkw from one, around 140rwkw.

Yep my GTST would consistently pull 4.5 seconds 0-100

Stock + turbo back exhaust, Cooler, Power FC & Sticky 275's - Realistically thats $5K worth of mods though...
