The guy I brought it off has spent some coin on it since then. New wheel bearings front and back, new alternator, new starter motor, timing belt, reco head, rear brakes etc etc..

Speedo works fine. I will start pulling is apart tomorrow and put some new bushes through it. It's all minor stuff anyway....and at the end of the day it's only a Sierra...nothing is really a "big" or expensive job.

my mate nearly bought that a few months ago, woulda been a fun toy to have!

GL with it!

Not a huge fan of the body lift with the chassis rail sitting so far below the sills, but looks great.

How do you rate the MTZ's? Do you have a pic of ya front CV angles?

Neither im i but there was nothing out for the colorados and i did the lift and bodylift and tyres for the price of the superoir kit and my 33' dont scrub they reckon 32' scrub, Mtz well these are my second set as my first set i only got 16000 out of them can't expect to much for $320 a corner (sarcasm) nah i havent its good but it could do with a diff drip kit give it more flex if ifs has such a thing

how do you guys get the hiluxs to drop so far down with leaf springs??? i have a 91 hilux dual cab.

Aaron-bravo
Post #5945

what do you mean drop so far down?? as in how do we get them to articulate (flex) so well??

pig060
Post #5946

yeah flex, mine is very stiff and doesnt take much to get wheels of the ground and wanted to get it to drop into ruts more to get thought bigger stuff without wheels coming of the ground so much. basicly like the green one above.

Take leaves out (Load), (The Right leaf packs), Shook hoops, extended shakels, A frame Kit in rear, Drop Shackles, Have a look at Superior Engineering or Snake Racing or locktup

Aaron-bravo
Post #5948

yeh the right leaves make a huge different mine are very thin leaves and seem to work super well that with shackles and the right shocks will make all the difference. difenently check out superior if you are close to brissy i run a few of there parts and am stoked with the quality.

im running efs kit for greasable shackles etc and it flexes nicely up the front rear goes ok but i need longer shocks as have Rear shock inversion system.
