hey did you end up getting your car recovered from the chop shop because i have seen the same car in moringside in bris a couple of times over the last month unless its just another car with the same paint job.

Same here i saw it too near Macas Springwood, it was driving the other way towards Slacks creek around lunch time.

Correct, it was at Pro-torque getting work done to it.
I visited there today as I'm getting the rest of my tune done, however the car has now gone (presumably finished on the dyno tune).

I have a few other pictures of it, but all just from the same angle and slightly blurrier.

It sure does look like it, the wheels are the same the paint appears to be the same colour, it also looks like they have painted over or changed the colour from the black that was there. Plus if you watch the vid in th op the fella at the start that walks from the left looks to have the same shaped head/face as the fella driving the car and also a cap too.

Hmmm very sad to see. Not sure if u have tryed this or if u can do it but a shot out of the blue maybe get the plates from the picture and see if u can possible find out who it's registered to through Queensland transport if some one knows some one ho is able to do that?? ..

Oh god, I am so sorry to hear about your car. I have (had) a black R33 and it got stolen from Hillcrest in Brissie on Friday night. I have put up a post about mine too. I hope your car is found. Its the worst feeling in the world. Good luck and I will definately be keeping an eye out for you. Probs the same low lifes who took mine.

Seen that red and silver one yesterday at this spit plates are 256-MXJ the 2 people in the front look to be the same people from the video even had the exact same hats. Should get the cops to run the plates and get vin numbers. Hope this helps mate

Yeh mate id be taking that picture into the police station and seeing if they can do a check on it rego check on it.

I feel like I need to make a small identifier on my car now so that if something like that where to happen to me and to see a VERY smilar looking car boosting around, for rebirthing protection put something on the chasis that I know is there but no one else does.

What people should do is buy a sensor light and separate the sensor from the housing and wire the light up in the room you sleep in. place the sensor in a spot directly behind the drivers door so anyone attempting to gain access to the car sets it off and turns the light on in your room, but they wont know you know they are their coz its just the sensor no light.

well i feel like i want to do this now anyway, thats just too freaky watching that clip of 2 spinless pricks driving off with your hard earned pride and joy.

It'll be a rebirth job, the car was taken what last year sometime the details of his car would have been reported by so no way they would be dumb enough to try re registering it under his car real vin. but yes he should still go to the police which im sure he will.

I agree mate, the guy driving in that pic from yesterday looks like the guy at the start of the footage op posted on YouTube. Even looks to have the exact same cap as the one in the security footage.

Of course if in fact it is the same vehicle (there are certainly striking similarities) it is quite likely that the vehicle has been rebirthed, but should this information be relayed to police (as i'm sure it will) it will be somewhat difficult for the new 'owner' to justify where his new 2 toned R33 came from once the video footage is examined. The new registration is a red flag as well.

Don't jump to conclusions, it may well be that the owner of that vehicle is a pillar of society and has owned the car for 10 years, but it certainly warrants further investigation. Remembering that the thief is likely to be reading this thread, i'd be getting down to your nearest police station ASAP before he has the chance to dispose of it.

Mate that is shit, I have read through all the comments on this. And I still can't figure out if you have recovered your stolen skyline yet or not? That picture of the red and silver two tone rego 256-MXJ does look a little similar, And yeah the new rego, doubt that many two toned red 33's get re-registered... Has it been found yet? let us know. thanks.
