 Contact Attempts On Forsale Items?

I have my car up for sale, and i was wondering when i look at the statistical graph there is the section of contact attempts. Now fairly often there is a number in that field but i never seem to receive these contacts. Whats going on there?

Probably means some one has hit the contact button but did not proceed any further
