Hey guys, I have noticed a few problems with the classifieds section that are quite frustrating when trying to purchase a new car...

First of all the "Contact Seller" button has not worked on numerous occasions and leads to a dead link when clicked. This is happening on brand new ads as well as older ones.

Find Here: R33 GTS-T 1 Built 180sx

Also I have noticed a large amount of the cars do not have certain particulars listed which makes narrowing down the search difficult. While searching for a 180sx and a Skyline I was unable to narrow down something as basic as transmission, with there being 684 listed as "other" and only 47 listed as manual. You need to make it mandatory that a Year of manufacture, transmission, engine capacity, doors... etc is entered into the ad to allow a more detailed search.

One last thing can you look at changing how the "Year" is set up, maybe have a min - max amount it would make it alot easier for narrowing down searches.

Thanks guys i hope to see these changes so I can purchase a car and make it easier to see one.

Cameron.

Hi,

Thank you for your error report.

The contact seller issue was intermittent but has now been resolved, if you hadn't of reported it the error may have remained for quite some time!

We recently collaborated with another website and imported their classifieds which is why you're finding a number of listings don't have the correct transmission / year / make / model specified in some cases.

However, rest assured that all this information is indeed mandatory.

Also, with regards to searching by year, if you use the Advanced Car Search you will find options for searching for a range of years, this option is available via the CARS menu or when searching for a car there is an advanced link to the side of the search form.

I hope this information helps.

Thanks mate, although there is another problem, I can't log in to the page that opens up. It asks to register or log in, takes you to log in page and then doesn't do anything from there.
