 Sr20 Help - How to make 240 - 250kw

Hey people I just bought an s13 project and need to know what mods I need to make around 240kw. It's a forged sr20 with 3 inch exhaust and front mount. Unsure on what turbo to get also? Any help would be appreciated.

Upgrade turbo, cams, fuel system etc

2871R and stage 1 cams with backup fuel mods can easily see 240rwkw

2871 with cams should get 250rwkw

gt3071 (t3 flanged one) will outperform a 2871 in power, spool earlier/less lag and do it all with less boost but will require external wastegate, manifold, downpipe etc

no matter what turbo you need fuel system upgrades and some way to tune it. stand alone ecu and cams would be best

What's your budget? You need to the right supporting mods to make it reliable.

GT3071r- Proven to be an epic turbo on a SR. You can lowmount it too. ( Note, this turbo on 98 made 296kw ATW on my engine)
Cams- Step 1 Tomei poncams, or HKS
740cc injectors, don't bother with 550's. No headroom.
Fuel pump- Walbro 255 works well. Easy install
Good electronic boost controller, IE, HKS EVC-S ect don't use manual T's. Do it right help your tuner get the most out of your car.
ECU- I would first find out who is going to tune the car and see what they prefer . You could get a Power-FC or you can run a standalone.
Z32 AFM ( Note, you wont need this if running a standalone ECU. You can use a map sensor. Handy for highmount setups.

GT2871r, N/A cams, N/A TB, Cooler, Z32 AFM + big intake, Exhaust + manifold, Nistune, Injectors, Fuel Reg, Walbro 255l/h on a low k's s13 blacktop made [email protected].

If i personally had to do it again i would do a GT3071r with an external gate. Very happy with the Nistune ecu and the tune by EFI performance.
