im currently converting my VT to have power windows so everything is working great except for the drivers window ive been through switches relays and looms, everything is ok then i found a wiring diagram and noticed the drivers side window reg runs through the BCM

my question is can i by pass this or have the bcm re-programmed or simply just need another bcm to suit the power windows

thanks in advance

You need Tech2 to reprogram the BCM... unfortunately, I believe that the non-PW BCM cannot be programmed to take power windows. Which means sourcing another BCM and then having Holden code it to your VIN and ignition key security transponder etc.

bugger i was thinking along those lines, and was hoping there was another alternative all windows work fine except drivers damn holden for running it through the bcm,q

thanks for your reply,

im new to the later model bcms, but is it possible that i can change mine for example is a 512 mid if i can find a another 512 mid with the key fob should it be a plug and play or does it need to be reprogrammed to my vin

Still needs to be programmed, Holden isn't the only one that can do it though, an auto electrician with the right diagnostic tool or even an good Auto locksmith should have the right Diagnostic tool.

I would just rewire the power window switch to wire direct to the drivers door window wink.gif The relay in the BCM can easily be replicated smile.gif
