Where The Hell Is The Coil Pack On A Au Falcon? - HELP!!!!

does anyone know where bouts a coil pack is on an au falcon????? im guessin its somewhere under shit lol

pretty sure from memory they dont run coil packs but a single coil under the inlet manifold which feeds the dizzy

follow the leads...it's under the intake manifold

Follow the ignition leads to the distributor. Follow coil lead to coil next to/kinda underneath the distributor. Use a light, and if you're going to change the coil do it from underneath.
Tl;dr - under shit, to be precise, the inlet manifold

AU's do not have distributors. They have one large rectangular coil pack under the intake manifold towards the back of the motor, with all six spark plug connections on the one pack. they are a prick to get too, even to change leads

ya its a b*ich to replace the coil pack and leeds

i was a mechanic for ford back in when the au and ba was the new

hated it, AU's were the most f#cked up falcon ever made but the BA has to be one of the best

very easy if it is a v8 au they at the top and front of motor but the 6 are hidden away towards the back under the intake

common misunderstanding, EF's had DLI then after many-a failed coil packs, the EL went back to using a dizzy, AU they got it sorted and used DLI again.
